I'm curious as to the outcome of trentik's server, which was a gift. Will we now need to pay for that one? I don't think it would be a problem, we just need to plan accordingly.

Regardless of whose server goes down, clan or not, I'd like to hope that, at the very least, the TPG servers remain available for the competitive league and general use. Personally, having to pay for servers that would host the competitive league may give it a "pay to play/participate" perception (how else would we fund them?) and could possibly drive new folk who want to participate from entering the league.

Granted, I am grateful that the devs have made the private servers available to us long past their anticipated expiration date, but I would like to see the devs get behind the comp league and continue to provide servers for such community events to happen. They only serve to benefit Hawken in the short and long term.

Even if TPG servers needed to be paid for, I'm sure that such payments would be discrete, as to prevent this sort of misconception from gaining traction, and I for one can see quite a few TPG participants happily helping pay for these servers, as wells as using this discretion.

Never. Meteor Credits have that name because they are made with meteors fallen into Illal, which are rare. This way inflation and counterfeit are both prevented.

The Hawken TeamSpeak server has been up at the complete and utter whim of the devs since TPG season 1, albeit under a different name. The servers have been up far longer than anyone paid for them. The current price is steep, but oh well. It's a free to play game. If you want your own server, you're gong to have to pay a premium, since you didn't pay for an account.

I rented my own Teamspeak voice server, the price is very reasonable,  only $5 a month I think maybe a bit more for extra voice channels.  I'm getting I think up to 10,   so if I rent a game server,  I'll probably have to up my TS account.  Still,  $7-10 a month?   big deal...  you spend that at McDonalds....

But I'm saying no because backend issues are most likely related to the problems with people's accounts lately, disappearing mechs, HC, invalid purchases, glitchy mech garages, etc. None of these relate to a patch.

Oh yes, that makes a lot of sense. I've been away so much recently I hadn't noticed more issues at all.

It would have been nice as TDM would have readily paid for a server had we known the status of our server.
