Lady Tiggs: "...when we're allowed to provide you with more information on what we're working on we will."
Why would devs be not be "allowed" to talk?
I was deadass looking forward to the patch...

FIRST OFF WHAT THE FUZZ IS A "SHILL"
I would expect that in addition to not having a PR department worth half a not-honoured markeddongle MC code purchase, Reloaded is being hamstringed by either their own or Gamersfirst legal departments.
With apps like Trello and old standbys like twitch, twitter, etc there is no good reason that a small, dynamic team should not be able to manage regular communication with their community.
Josh et al. have been repeatedly told that what we regard as the single biggest requirement for this game is increased developer communication. Given that early months cleaved pretty damned closely to that and the current silence, I have to assume that the development team has been restrained by their own outdated, out-of-touch management/legal department for whatever reason.

Even if they can't go into detail, they could at least post weekly updates in summary saying "Hey guys, we're still here, don't give up on us and lose hope just yet"
Otherwise, It's just getting more depressing. I've already drifted off to play other games.
.
The difference between theory and practice is smaller in theory than it is in practice.
I would like to request doing updates like "star citizen". Admittedly Hawken doesn't have Chris Roberts, or as large of a scope, but we need to get a hype train rolling fast and hard.
A weekly video just saying hey were working on npcs or ai or scenery, bug fixes. VAGUE things to keep interest in the game would be really nice.
Reloaded gives a fuzzy bunny about the community that's why and they probably also lied to us. But hey, once (if) they come around with an update, we're happy to throw money at them right the same like nothing happened, right? Yay!

See now, this is the sort of thing that they probably can't afford. A text update takes 30 seconds. A stream takes the time it takes. A video, even on 1:100 scale of RSI, takes hours on the minute.
For fuzz's sake, the HKTS and TPG twitters have been more active than the PlayHawken one.

Completely agree, however the important takeaway from that in my mind is "A TEXT UPDATE TAKES 30 SECONDS". Stop making us burn down the forums on a monthly basis.

I invite everyone to take a look at the communities for the other two titles that Reloaded owns. It's like looking at parallel universes of our own community.
Fallen Earth:
Feb 2016 - "When will we get a current and honest up to date STATE OF THE GAME?"
APB Reloaded:
August 2015 "APBDB is no longer being updated."
January 2016 "Another abandoned project."
January 2015: "Update coming Soon"
We aren't alone in experiencing this. I'm not saying that no update will never come, but having a lack of community involvement seems to be Reloaded's norm.

So we exchanged one ***** developer for another? Lame.

Eh, Tiggs seems to be able to post frequently enough on the APB forums

it's odd right...
i mean, i like games, but i've never really paid attention to the man behind the curtain until i found hawken. so my experience in this is limited, but every time that i have heard "oh we'd love to tell you all about it all" what they really weren't saying was "get rekt noob, hawkening is dones heres."
though generally i'm an optimistic person, and hawkening is still fun as long as they keep it all going.
either way it goes it will be ok. if reloaded "makes good" and does something. then great. finally, good job, thanks and fuzzy bunny. and if this company goes bankrupt, well, i hope this time we will get some kinda notice before it goes back up for sale, so maybe a concerned consortium of hawkeners could get it right.
What's the big fuzzy bunnyng deal? Lots of amazing people have committed suicide, and they turned out alright.
I mean, ded game or not I'm gonna play til I can't. I guess I'm not mad just... disappointed

Hold on to the things you care about most, even if others see it as insignificant..If you can't be true to yourself, are you really living?
Well, they'd tell us if they weren't working on anything, so they must be working on something.

Are we really talking about Reloaded's PR?
I thought it was clear since ppl from APB warned us in the first place over a year ago.
Reloaded doesnt talk, they reload.

Number 1: I remember that post, and quite honestly, I don't respect the guy, which affects the way I view his post. He was caught pretending to impersonate Amidatelion on the APB forums. Also what he said in his post was largely debunked. His post largely rode on the assumption that Hawken was owned by GamersFirst (G1), which is false based on live interviews conducted with capnjosh.
Not to say the communication has decreased. But due to the nature of the "revival" of the game, Reloaded probably has a fuzzy bunny ton of partnerships and similar things lined up. I remember capnjosh saying something about finding partners interested in Hawken or something. What is probably happening is some sort of NDA regarding their partnerships, waiting for them to be announced by the partner or getting the O.K from the partner to make some sort of announcement too. They haven't been silent. This is not another Great Silence, imo. They posted an update 2 months ago. I know it's infrequent. I know it's terrible PR. Community managers, in my very starkly honest opinion, we've had better ones. Reloaded, like Adhesive before, has problems with communication.
Also, even if the devs were to make a post saying that they're alive and working but that's it, people would post questions to the devs asking for clarification. It's not good enough for us. For unknown reasons, the devs can't say anything else beyond "Hi," and then the community otentially becomes more jaded towards them. What I perceive this as is that the devs are waiting for the chance to say the 100% truth of what's going on and not just 1% of "hi we're working" because that's a useless post. If you can't say the whole truth, why say only partial truths and leave it open to incorrect interpretations of the piece of data which can lead to possibly turning people away from the game even more? They're alive. And that can be seen too. The responses to support tickets (how ever long they take...), the occasional wonkiness of the servers, meaning some sort of fuzzy bunny is going down and they're messing with stuff.

Your points have been pointed in multiple posts in the past...well,some times, so yeah, I know that.
That guy from over year ago? I tired not to believe his words, but I did considered myself warned, and what could we say? He was right? partially. That I should even prefer that devs come out and shout "something big is coming!" once in a while? ...Yes seriously I prefer that way than nothing.
"Without the whole story, lets not say a word" Yes thats also... partially true, but without communication about the things at all (It supposed to be the big year, yet Josh doesnt even bother to login to forums in the first quarter of his big year.)? Aren't that creates misunderstanding and torches expectation with time?
With all I know about Reloaded, I'm not expecting a super-big news/update with Hawken, at least not within next one or two years (They have just recruited some ppl for how long again?) , but with the silence we have here? --Donno if there is a story behind the phrase of "the great silence", but the silence we have now feels just like the Great Gap we had when the ADH goes.
" meaning some sort of fuzzy bunny is going down and they're messing with stuff."
---Hey that's a new idea! I like that one. So that's the result of a new heart beating behind the scene?
The only news I know might be that the Android console we talked about will release in May, with its own VR equipment, donno if it has anything to do with Hawken's development tho.

PR has decided that it is better to say nothing than admit that they are hemorrhaging money and in over their heads.
i think that we have to riot and throw a tantrum to get anything out them. may i point to the #freepoopslinger event. we got a reall quick response from that

I had this dream of no one playing Hawken anymore and no activities on the forum whatsoever as strike action. Well the first is almost there.

We Can Dance If We Want To
If Reloaded hadn't taken over, chances are pretty good that we wouldn't even have a game to play in the first place... I'm guessing the servers would have died last year itself. So even if nothing else, I'm still grateful to them for extending the upkeep of the servers and still allowing us to keep playing. Even if I go play other games, I still find myself coming back time after time to enjoy this game simply as it is (to me, it will always stay a great game).
I don't hold the devs accountable for having to provide us constant chatter; whether we stay engaged or not is mostly up to us. Us die-hards here will keep on playing until the day that last server finally goes down, and let's face it, most of us here still sticking around are indeed just that. Updates, constant communication, feedback, etc... can be for the new influx of players if they ever get the PR set up to advertise for it and re-release the game then. Which I really don't mind at all.
Let's all hope that Reloaded has something super awesome that they're not telling us rather than absolutely nothing good that they could have been telling us.
No news on a rescued game though, still doesn't exactly look good to those on the outside.. die hard fans may stick around, but it's not like there's THAT many die hard Hawken fans out there..
