So, I know I'll get a few scoffs from some people around but lately I've been playing a whole lot of Overwatch. Being a completely new game to me, I had to spend hours and hours practicing hitscan aim because I don't have the luxury of two literal years of embedded game-sense and completely memorized projectile speed that do (or did: that's what I'll be getting at shortly) in Hawken. Some of you might know me well enough to know that I've always struggled with any hitscan weapons in Hawken.
Now, I've heard that the worst thing you can do to yourself when playing competitive games is to play two games on completely seperate sensitivities. I tried competitive play a little in Overwatch, but the majority of time I play my roomate and college buddy also want to play, and we'll bounce between trying and just joking around. Second season(for anyone who's played overwatch) I placed just 90 or so rank below gold, which is like the median skill range in theory but I've heard there is a thinning of average number of players at the middle ranks and that the system needs tweking to place people correctly. Anyway, that was only at level 30 or so, and before I started practicing my aim on training mode. Now I'm around level 85 and usually spend 30 minutes a day practicing my accuracy.
I like Hawken a lot, I just haven't had an incentive to play lately because almost nobody is online. That and I felt like I completely plateud in skill. After playing and getting better gradually in Overwatch, I feel like I could have improved a little aim wise in hawken, but I don't want to screw things up between one or the other by having completely different mouse sensitivities. If I was to jump into hawken anytime soon, I would love to know what to set my sensitivity to.
I tried searching the web because I know there is a method out there to it, unfortunately the only good thing I found was something that required a subscription for people who choose Overwatch as one of the games they're transitioning from(or to I'm assuming).
I guess this turned into a psuedo check-in from Fang post but...
Are there any good samaritans out there who have a similar software or who have subscribed to this particular site that could punch in a 5.35 sensitivity for Overwatch (hip-fire) into the calculator with Hawken selected?
