Sure we are. If you have the PW to the TS server or PM someone you can join in on the practices and then we can sort out clan tags and stuff like that. Or you can also join as a guest and check things out ;).

Keep in mind guys that I won't be there this weekend, cause I'll be helping out at Screenshake 2016. You guys have done training by yourselves before, so you know what to do. Make sure to join the TS server on time (5 min before training begins) and have a good time exploding each other's faces, k?

did u read the last answer, u can tru to update bios or take a old GTX500 or 600 series GPU :( HP is sick , why u didn't buy from custom pc made company .seems like u r in problem .may be u can refund and exchange with old GPU .so what r u going to do  honey MOM :)

So for my new build's RAM I ordered a 16GB DDR4-2133 kit that doesn't work with my new motherboard (lol) and the company I ordered it from is sending me a 32GB DDR4-2133 kit as reimbursement for my own mistake.

It'll take ~10 days to deliver, which is pretty long for me since I'm used to 1-day-delivery - but it'll be worth it.

 

I think the company is pretty great.

Hey Kobalt Defenders!

 

While I cannot be nerdy and play Hawken at the moment, I thought I'd just be nerdy and create some more Hawken content for Youtube. My latest dilly-dallying involves reading a story in a video. I've already finished that.

But rather than me sitting there reading, I'd like to have Hawken related visuals.

 

Now, as I cannot record myself playing I thought it might be nice to use Screenshots from you guys.

Anyone interested? You get to show off your snazzy looking mechs on Youtube!

 

This is supposed to create atmosphere. So they'd have to be:

1. third person, because I don't want HUD showing (so either win-scenes or Map Exploration mode)

2. without the score showing in win-scenes, player names and icons are ok

3. supa pwettyyy

 

Just shoot me the links in a PM, ask for my email or post them in here. Or just permit me to take them from the screenshot thread if you have already uploaded a whole lot and think they're fitting.

I tried OBS and NvidiaShadowPlay they have both some issues :

 

OBS

screw up my framerate so I have to reduce my resolution

allows you to create scenes with wallpapers and NohBoard

is tricky to set up : NohBoard imply that you play in windowed mode, but depending on the resolution OBS has some graphic glitches

 

Shadowplay

framerate drop is OK (in coop TDM)

implies that you play in fullscreen or record desktop for windowed mode

I don't think that you can add NohBoard (or register keyboard/mouse)

 

 

I still haven't tried to stream on Twitch using shadowplay, I'll do that this week-end. I wanted to record my mouse / keyboard with a decent framerate to watch my recorded games to identify my mistakes but it seems that I can't do that with these softwares.

 

I'm still not at ease with fullscreen mode with my 27" monitor (I'm too close to the monitor).

 

Another pain in the ... neck is syncing issues. I now have random problems to log in, I sometimes need to restart 5 times hawken to be able to play.

I opened a support ticket but I have still no news.

I have a fiber connection with 150~190Mb/s down and 30~50Mb/s up so this ain't due to my bandwidth

Furthermore we didn't finish our discussion about practice schedule. My point is that KDR server should me used more and we should practice more.

Maybe keep sunday practice as "fixed" schedule, and log in KDR server to play on a more regular basis.

If we can play decent 3vs3 games why pubing ?

Alright, for the people who couldn't make it here are the discussion points and our conclusions:

 

• The new signatures: We went over how to set up signatures and how they work. For the people who weren't there here I'll be posting a full tutorial of how to set up yours and customize it once everything is written down.
• This also functioned as a short explanation on the roles people can take, which also will be explained in the same documents.
• We discussed the possibility of moving the training from Sunday to Saturday. The conclusion was that is would cause as much issues that it would solve, and we won't actually benefit from it. It's better to keep it the way it is.
• We discussed the new KDR and KOBALT thread, you'll see about that soon.
• The Saturday training center will have to wait until the update drops and more players join the game. 

 

That's about it.
