In fact I found the indications during the matches more useful than when we chat more. We could have done better in uneven matches, but it was hard to gather due to respawn.

 

I've done quite a few matches in the teams with less players and it was really hard, but my MMR said that I played correctly (MMR increase).

We haven't gone cheesy, I wonder if we could have taken over the MA with 3 incin' and a tech

 

I think the MA and Siege game modes should not be played with uneven teams unless it's part of the practice and agreed with the team players before the match.

 

To me it was more what I expect from KDR practice, I missed the "buddy system" DM at the beginning of the session, I think we could do it using steam talk plug-in while closing the mic in TS. Would it work ?

 

Ending with a TDM was relieving. And I think that we could skip siege to focus on MA which is IMHO the best mode for organised games.

 

So my opinion is that KDR practice could be :

2x 10min buddy DM

3x MA games

1x playground TDM

2vs2vs2vs2vs2vs..., one TS channel per team.

 

DM means : friendly fire, no friends on radar.

 

It's a really good exercice to learn the map location, to coordonate, and to reach your team stealthly.

Let's see, 10 x2, 3 ma, gonna average out at about 10- 15 min a game as well, 1 'playground' tdm ( also 10 min) = 6x10 | 3x5 = between an hour and an hour 15 min. Should be fine, we'll even have more time to spare.

My opinion after yesterday session :

 

• starting and finishing with a DM is a good thing as you can play with odd number of player.

At the beginning of the session you can warm-up while waiting for other

At the end of the session of pple have to leave you can still play a few minutes.

 

• the buddy system is really good.

It forces you to coordonate : where to gather, intel from the radar, knowledge of the map...

 

• MA is a good (the best ?) organised games mode

It require some strategie, to adapt, etc...

 

--> So my point of view is that yesterday sesion was good.

Lots of MA due to the upcoming tourney (I guess).Thumbs up, because it is my favorite gamemode anyways. What I really enjoyed was the Buddy-match with MoMow. It is always amazing how I can still NOT describe my position properly and in Uptown it should be relatively easy: "Bridge room-northeast corner" We managed to find each other quickly most of the match. But still there are spots like "the er.. tunnel, .. no, ramp down from the library."  Good gamemode to find out your "blind spots".

We can find annotated maps in an old hawken wiki, but the terms used are not familiar to me. And I don't want to learn that much details

I'm reading something about fleet recruitment packs that act like beta invites. You guys got some for me? ;);)

 

EDIT: "Players who buy Founder�s Packs will get access to the Closed Beta two days before it opens to all Closed Beta testers. " and apparently that was yesterday? So either you buy a pack, get and invite or get lucky.

Corel Painter kostet ca 70 Euro. Version 12 ist aber schon ein paar J�hrchen her, vielleicht gibts das bei Ebay inzwischen f�r wenig Geld. Theoretisch kannst du auch in GIMP zeichnen, es ist nur von der Men�f�hrung schwieriger und nicht so intuitiv wie Painter. Ich habe im Internet eine Weile nach g�nstigen Zeichenprogrammen gesucht, aber nur Demos gefunden, die entweder nach 30 Tagen abgelaufen sind, Bildern automatisch ein Wasserzeichen zugef�gt haben oder stark eingeschr�nkt waren. Painter ist vom Preis-Leistungsverh�ltnis ziemlich gut und kompatibel mit fast allen g�ngigen Penpads und -tablets.
