This problem has been happening to me almost every time I play the game. I don't know how long I play, but it happens within an hour or two. The problem is, the game just completely crashes in the middle of a match. This didn't happen when I played CB2. Windows OS 7 says: (screenshot)

There is only the admin on this computer, no other users. I wouldn't image that being the problem though.

I didn't think I would have to say my specs, since it looks more of a game issue than my computer, but it is helpful.
This computer was built for gaming, but this was some years ago. But it was top of the line back then, so it's still very good.
4GB of RAM, only using 1.82, so I don't think the game would need 2 GB of RAM just for itself.
ATI RADEON HD 5830. I forgot whether it was 512 MB or 1GB, but either way, thats still plenty.

1.82 ram in use or available_
I don't know about radeon cards and the architecture but that should be equivalent to  (nvidia) 6600/6800 card

1.82 in use, before running. I took this screenshot to keep track of RAM to see if it leaks memory somewhere, but here it is just for you to see that I have enough. I forgot where it ranks with NVidia, but it's an excellent video card. I can run two games if I wanted to at the same time.

That to all you are showing is what you've told us so far.

haha vista we meet again, sorry but I would have to say try a different os (7/8).

It seems vista hasn't been able to keep up with the new releases.

Haha, I forgot I downgraded this to vista, since I originally said Windows 7 in first post. Sorry about that.

Hmm, I don't think I will able to get it on my laptop(OS 7), for some reason the launcher never loads.

Try adding the hawken-shipping and launcher executables to the whitelist of the av program
