It seems like heavy would be better for defending points, long-range support (maybe), or possibly large-scale assaults in objective modes.
Light is likely good for deathmatch gamemodes, harrasing enemy groups, or attacking single players.
Medium is good when you don't need a specific role, and may be better then heavy for assaults depending on loadout and how a third mech class is implimented (will the new class be heavy or medium_). Medium is also likely better for new players like me.

However, on a per-pilot basis, I'd say I like light for now but if the new class is infact heavy, not medium, I may prefer them if we get access to    long-range support.

It's just hard to go back from my awesome little infiltrator and reaper. I'm so used to being the speedster of the game it just makes me angry while playing the "Turtle with 3 legs cut off" (C Class) mechs.

I use primarely A class and C class. Scout and rocketeer to be exact..

I've upgraded my Rocketeer so that he gives a heavy punch (internals) with his helfires. Always so good to let them run. And on the other side I use the scout for it's mobility.. Which may be faster IMO.

But yeah, I don't bind myself to a certain class - more to certain Mechs.

I actually do like the B- Classes best though.

Not too slow and not too low heath.

(C-class is best. most interest gameplay in HWK, cuz you have many restrictions. And you need think, before you doing something stupid in fight =3)

I read that the Rocketeer sucks bad... so i think: "I want one!"   

I love challenges and i hope i can learn to pilot this mech pretty decent. I like the Heavy Weapons platform. But i have to admit... Most of the time it is the light or medium mechs that own you... But hey Rocketeer is a support class... and i am fine with dealing damage downrange if that helps my team. Kills will come sooner or later. But if i can soften up targets for my teammates who mop up the debris field... Yup... that works for me.

Seriously I was once called Meanie > when I played Infiltrator or Scoot.

I love medium class-mechs the most. I love the A class for Infiltrator(excellent special ability and weapons combination), B Class for the Fred(good old chap) and the C Class for the Incinerator! The B Class is a mix of everything so I simply love it!
