I think that the prices for the mechs are fine. You usually get 130-170 HC per TDM match (one match = 10 minutes). There's also a "daily win" bonus that gives you 250 HC each day in every gamemode (so you can get up to 1000 HC). If you play for 1-2 hour each day you'll be able to buy the most expensive mech (12000 HC) in the game after about one and a half weeks. Anyway, most mechs only cost 4000-7500 HC. So you can buy 1-2 mechs each week.
It takes more time to fully outfit a mech than to buy one. I recommend to priorize purchases in this order:
New mech > New item > New internal > New weapon
You can go head to head with other players' fully equipped mechs even if you use amech with standard equipment. So I recommend to buy some mechs first. Once you find a mech that you really like you should buy some items and internals for it. Once have a lot of experience with a mech that you really like you can buy a new weapon. New weapons often change the whole playstyle of a mech (for example "Flak Scout => CQC" and "Heat Scout => mid range") so gather some information before you buy one.
My opinion:
- Mech prizes are fine: New mechs offer complete new playstyles.
- Item prizes are too high: Items don't impact the gameplay that much and therefore certain items are too expensive.
- Internal prices are ok: they're apropriate, although some 3 slot internals could be cheaper.
- Weapon prices are a bit too high: Although they largely change the playstyle of the mech i think that 6400 HC is too much. I dunno. Maybe the weapon prices should be 50% or 75% of the mech price.

(I'm not a fan of Necro's on game forums, on Casual forums it's fine, on game forums it becomes a gigantic mess)

maybe a daily bonus for playing your first game of the day (not necessarily winning it, sometimes I have random losing streaks where I can't seem to get a single win after playing for hours, others days I repeatedly become the mvp (again and again)
