I'm sure people with an SS can put their ability ON A DIFFERENT KEY so they don't "accidentally" use it.

Excellent suggestion, Saturn in E should edit the OP to include this.  

Totally stoked (like tubular and stuff).  I like my first round pick as well, should be 50/50 depending on how hestoned heis, or iam.

So, the three brackets will end with 1 champion each, then what happens_  1v1v1_  Or random number for first semi and lucky one fights the semi winner_

Also, what Sylhiri said. Each of the three winners will face eachother separately in a series of round robin fights. The person with the most kills (after fighting each of the other two opponents (they'll fight to first to 5, like the normal fights)) will be the winner, etc. Ties are settled with a rematch with those two players.

This is pretty righteous - All we need now is for someone to set up a paypal powered betting site! Also looking forward to tournaments with buy-ins!

Alright, for tournament organization, here's what I want to happen.

A good way to keep up on this tournament, and the community in general, is to hang out in the Hawkenscrim IRC channel that you can get to by clicking here: http://webchat.quake...ls=#hawkenscrim

Things would probably work most smoothly if everyone adds me (Saturnine), RentaKnight, Skylead, and Sylhiri to their friends lists. That way you can just join on their servers when the time comes. Adding your opponents as well, if you haven't already, is a Good Plan.

Otherwise, about an hour before the tournament, I'm going to want everyone in that IRC I linked, or in the #bsb IRC so we don't overfill the other IRC with tournament talk. There we can then have people jump into the Black Steel Brotherhood team speak as the time gets closer so everyone can easily hear each other and what is going on. There'll be rooms divided and such, and we'll make sure the people who are participating at that time can't hear the other people in the room, but can hear their teammate. (In 2v2s; 1v1s we'll either deafen those fighting, or put them in a room alone.)

Basically, best thing to do is be online and ready early. Be in the IRC channel at least an hour beforehand, have Hawken running and have Teamspeak installed to keep this train moving as smoothly and as quickly as possible.

(Also, if you aren't already on my friends list somehow, that's pretty much a miracle as it is.)

If your going to use TeamSpeak make sure you have it downloaded and optimized BEFORE the 9th, if we call you into the ring you will not be able to fiddle (download) with TeamSpeak during that time. No mercy for the unprepared.

Alright guys, bit of an announcement. We have private servers where we have some awesome control and stuff! That's the wonderful news! Smaaallll bit of bad news: These are on west coast, so the ping will be less than ideal for some players. But I think the benefits here probably outweigh the costs. I'll be giving information on how to join these at the appropriate time and to the appropriate people.

Other small bit of bad news, we have these servers, but we get 2. So, what'll happen is I'll be streaming on one server for bracket 1, and the cockpit will stream bracket 2, and then once I finish bracket one, I'll begin bracket 3, and then the finals will be streamed afterwards.

BUT: We gain SO MUCH AWESOME BENEFITS from using these servers, so give your profuse thanks to MTR/ADH for being pretty much the best devs ever for helping us out with this to this extent!

Just wanted to point out that my loadout is slightly wrong. It shows me with shield as my functional item but I am using repair charge.  Just want to make sure this won't be a problem =D

Very hyped for the tournament, hopefully won't just get owned in the first round =P
