XP Overflow - Will this be free or cost points_

Pilot Progression - You now have a pilot portrait that displays in game and a pilot model that displays during post game scores. Pilot Progression unlockables are cosmetic options for your pilot, including taunts and emotes.

Elite Skins - The new reward for reaching level 25 on a mech.

Item Slot System - Offensive and Defensive categories no longer exist. You can now equip multiple offensive or defensive items. Item strengths are divided into three levels: 1, 2, and 3. You have three points to spend on items, and their level is their point cost. So, you can take three level 1 items, one level 1 and one level 2 items, or one level 3 item. Imagine loadouts like an L1 Gun Turret, L1 Rocket Turret, and L1 Detonator; or an L1 Repair Charge and L2 Shield; or an L3 HE Charge.

Internals System - I like the new item slot system so much, I want the same for the Internals system. For example, Air 180's sound like a Functional slot. So how about having the option to replace the Offensive and Defensive slots with more Functional slots so you can have, say, faster hovering acceleration and air control so you can do aerial combat_

So I'm really excited for the patch just like everyone else. But there are just a few things that concern me. I know that the details will be reveled out soon and it'll be much clearer at that point but these are just a few things I've thought of.

Balance_ So the update is adding a lot of new content. Which is just plain awesome and refreshing. But while that's all great and well, I'm curious as to if balancing issues will be addressed with this patch. It seems like all that's been unveiled lately is new content, and not so much any info on balancing game modes like siege or fixing the vulcan to make it a little more viable, or to take all the emphasis away from A-class mechs, and so on. I'm guessing this might be intentional, as new content is a lot more interesting to unveil than balance fixes. So maybe there has been some balancing done but it just hasn't come to light yet. I'm hoping anyway.

C-class turret boosting - This one seems a little odd to me. Maybe I'm missing something but isn't the point of turret mode to be able to take more hits or dish out more damage at the sacrifice of losing mobility_ I absolutely agree that turret mode needs revised in order to make it viable but is this the best way of doing it_ All I can imagine is a bunch of C-class mechs boosting around everywhere and wrecking people to bits. Imagine the Brawler in turret mode just boosting around everywhere. Scary. Maybe though, you can only boost forward_ And maybe there are some alterations to what manages your boosting while in turret mode_ Like you can only do it a few times regardless of your fuel or just something.

As I said, I'm sure these concerns are mostly just because all the info hasn't been released yet, and when it does get released and we get all the ins and outs.. I'll see that my concerns are put to rest. But for right now these are just a few things I'm curious about.

And oh yeah, good job though! I know you've all been very hard at work and making an effort to show up on shows like "The Cockpit" and give us some info about the patch is a wonderful thing to do and a great way to keep the community loyal. Thanks guys, I'm very excited!

I will try Hawken again when this patch goes live(uninstalled the game on May 14th I believe). I do find it funny the Hawken team is launching a beta (ADVANCE BATTALION) within a beta.

I will have to see how the internal perks work in practice. I'm worried about this possible inclusion since this reminds me a little of Halo armor abilities(the death of pure Halo) and this change would move Hawken farther away from an arena shooter. Hoping the patch brings back the fun to Hawken.

I love everything I see, especially with the addition of the tuning system (Armored Core tuning was intense sometimes), but I can definitely see more of the "pay2win" people complaining more. You might have to start making server tiers for pilot levels too to separate those who get the benefits of max leveled pilots, tuning, items, etc vs those with none. That's just another thing that separates people who've played longer than those who have picked it up fairly recently and are playing pretty well.

The addition of everything is like sex though.

What's this_ Omega22 came out of cryogenic stasis_ and he's looking forward to the new patch_ Where are the mulltitude of threads over how the pilot progression system will break the game, or calling the new mech OP_
