Hi OneHour, yes I can do an animation, it may take me a while though, what with the patch coming out tomorrow. Erathic said that he wanted to do an animation of it as well and he has better software than me so it will probably look much better.
WOW Heart, that poster is awesome! I love the double Vulcan's. That's one seriously dangerous looking mech. I found a nice site that does free fonts from a lot of games. I used a couple for my banner. Here's the link,

had to find a tricky way to make the nigh lights only appear on the shadow side
I used a cube (wich is invisible) added a constraint that make it always look at the main light (this step is optional)
then on the night map i made 2 layers of alpha one using the texture and one proximal shader based on the cube
so now if i move the light the night lights will always only display on the "shadow" side.
not sure if the technique is the best, but it works
also i used 4 spheres for the planet :
Surface ( diffuse + bump) 100cm diam
Night lights (used as alpha + proximal shader) 100.1cm
Cloud (used as alpha+ bump to fake the cloud shadows) 100.3 cm diam
Atmosphere (very small fresnel shader + specular) 100.4cm diam
1 volumetric light on the background to simulate the glow with better control
1 light for.. light
