How do you think, need to show the stats of the primary/secondary weapons in numbers in the garage_ (I mean "TOW Damage - 150", instead of the "TOW Damge - five squares")
in Ascention mech stats shown in number, maybe, shown weapon too_

edit: added google docs with numbers.

i imagine obfuscating numbers is to try and keep people from working out what is the undisputed best, but there are ways to extrapolate information from testing.  Imo its better to just put all the information out there to start with, that way everybody has an equal chance at figuring out whats best, and not just the people who have lots of free time.

It's going to happen one way or another, because hiding numbers is not a good way to cover up poor balance.

my personal views, not only because of the balance (poor or good)
before hawken, I played in WoT and I liked that I had the opportunity to see all stats and compare the characteristics of each tank. It's fun and useful. IMHO.

I used to play wot as well, Battlecruiser on the american servers but I stopped playing because I got tired of connection issues to world of tanks from my particular area of the country and decided to move on to something with a more consistent connection.

I'm in the same boat when it comes to numbers. My philosophy is if you show the player how many hitpoints they have, its only fair to tell them how much damage their weapons do as well, otherwise the advantage will lay with whomever uses their hitpoints as a metric to measure damage.

I'd also like to add I'm not a big fan of damage/hitpoints mechanics, because the nature of math employed in these situations turns everything into a damage race which often winds up invalidating 3/4ths of the games content for people that wish to be competitive. This is bad for new players who are often taught in a hard way that nothing they like works, and it is also bad for the developers, as things they spend time and money on developing are rarely used because everything is a slave to the damage/hitpoints mechanic

The devs. From previous responses to these kind of request the answer we got was: "eventually" and their reasoning behind it is that providing us with actual numbers means that we will be unable to provide accurate feedback because it won't be based on "the feel".

Yes, but some people still test them, and then write in the table (or wiki), and we all know them anyway.

OK. So in return we are unable to provide accurate feedback because it's not based on actual numbers, but "the feel".

lol maybe they're waiting until they have stats that are set in stone (or near) before the post a chart. I hate how they just post arbitrary numbers/bars for stats rather than just saying "x RPM, y damage before dropoff, z damage at full dropoff, r range before damage dropoff begins, d degrees cone of spread, h heat per shot." Other than getting friends together on an empty server, there's no way of actually testing which weapons are better in which situations and how mechs compare when you take skill out of the equation. Probably gonna take the time to actually do that and put an up to date weapons catalog together. Already did that with the incin. You know what, I'ma start a forum for that.

Hmmm. Methinks it may be because they'd have to update them when they changed stats. Seeing as the game guide rarely gets updated, I think they just don't want the extra workload.

I have been wanting them to do this for ages. I seem to remember the devs saying they eventually wanted to set up these things in some sort of up-datable database, but that it wasn't a priority. Anyone have a clearer memory than me on this_
