- A visual indicator of who is talking/when you are talking. As is, there isn't anything to determine who is saying what.
- I would like to see a map with coordinates. For example, I dropped a turret, and later on it started firing/hitting the opposing team. Being able to reference a grid coordinate to the rest of the team would have been very helpful as we were hunting down the other players
- Related to #1 (but doesn't specify if it's referring to the game UI or while in a match), the fonts used for other players while in the game should be adjustable. I run at 1080, and the fonts do not scale well, making it hard to tell who I should be telling to repair while I cover them, or who needs to try and kite the opponents out into the open so I can shoot at them (was in a sharpshooter at the time)

1) already spotted by a fellow member, it should be in the "blue" segment of the OP (link).
2) I'll put it in the list, you should also mention it to the aforementioned post about VOIP, I think this would make the game easier ... although a grid system is generally good for 2D, not 3D spotting... (no wonder there was no grid in Homeworld, for instance: space + 3D = nightmare!)
3) I'll add to the font size the problem of font scaling. Didn't think of that, nice job!

1. Ability to move while toggling map. Don't recall this being an issue in previous builds (or my memory has gone)
2. Use of the ESC key to toggle menu options in game and and in the main hub/garage.
Will update post as I come across other quirks.
So far loving the increased responsiveness of mechs and game is running very smoothly on my rig.

By the way, in the garage, our mechs should be able to acquire different secondary weapons. Maybe through purchase - having a generic assortment of weapons that can be purchased for any class. Maybe this isn't the direction the developers wished to go but i sincerely think that this would improve gameplay and mech tactics and usage.l

Please MAKE IT PAINFULLY OBVIOUS you can use EITHER Hawken OR Meteor points to make purchases in the garage. It does not require both. It took me (an Alpha vet) a day to realize that I could buy other mechs using just Meteor points. Others in the beta have pointed out they do not think they can make these purchases because its not clear.
For example:
When you click an item in the garage, it shows both the Hawken and Meteor point cost in the bottom next to the Buy button. This would make it seem that both costs are required for purchase. Only until you actually click Buy does it show you can spend either.
I know it's small but it makes a difference, especially for new players.

All in all very well done, maybe one idea:
Could you add a function for the server list so the player can sort the servers by number of players, ping, name,..._
(If this sort function is already in the game and I just didn´t find it, then ignore this commet :B )
Ah, and about the radar scramblers: I was able to throw them anywhere, even onto walls (where they got stuck) or sometimes into walls or decorative environment. It´s awesome when you can somehow hide the scramblers somewhere in small places, but letting them disappear into a wall or stick onto a higher place on a 90° wall (where they continue floating) may be a bit unfair

First of all I played the game and it was fun to play an fps which is a big difference to other fps games and the game itself has potential if it improves by the time of the launch.
Top Priority.
1. didn't have and issues with the fonts but the tooltips itself could be increased a bit.
2. filters totally agree (i also tried to vote on this pool but it replied few times with error so I stopped trying)
5.yes the currency is to slow to gain, there should be some kind of reward system no matter if you are paying the game or playing it for free....for example for just finishing the match 30points, for every kill made 5points, for assist 3points, for returning the energy to base 10 points, defending antiair 5points. In this way if you are a skilled player and know the tactics and enemys weaknesess you could gain over 100points per game which is good. thing.
6. different locations for chat and kill messages, also the most used practice to show chat is usually when you check the scorebord the chat should be visible at that moment
7. ability to mute a player...oh man why top priority_ i played few times when someons mic was on, and the dude was watching television and talking to his brother or sister and there was at least 5 people asking him to mute the mic and he kept playing with mic on....please!
General UI
- Friend list - I did not read through the poll for this but it could be made like starcraft2's friend/ingame messageing since at the bottom of the screen aren't any menus.
-Garage- I had a bug where the first purchase of mech reported like unsuccessfull so I've purchased it again and now have a double berserk in garage....there should be a warning before buying which says you allready have this vechile are you sure you want to make a purchase or something.
In-Game-Specifics
I agree with everything mentiond here but I'll add some of my:
Cockipit related
HUD in the cockpit for the fuel is visible nicely when it's low since it pops in the middle of the screen but before that moment you can't really see where the fuel is or how much there is left (this could be "color coded" from yellow to orange and red for low fuel like a meter in the car more to the left side....I'm not saying how it must be done it's just a suggestion)
Also There is no visual effect which powerup it's used one-two-three this should be indicated somewhere for example top of the screen all three powerup in the cockpit with 3small lcd's and on each it's a sign of the powerup equipped and the one selected has more brightness. To me this is logical since it's above the movement keys and on the highly visible spot.
Eveything else worked for me except the gain of experience in the game Assault in 2 round gaved me 50%of level one I played than 4 DM matched and barely gained 10% regardless of my placing on the scoreboard.
edit:
few more things since this is probably related to bugs:
- I hanged upon disconnecting from server with a screen syncing account. It failed both times and couldn't log in while was in-game allready.
- Also the game with each update resets my video and control config which is annoying as hell, at least fix the controls parts so it stays as the user prefers it's no problem changing the resolution.
In-game-Mechanics
The repair function is good in assault-tdm and even if you one day implement a ctf with two or one flag in the center.
But in dm there should be something like instant health buff increase upon killng an opponet.
For example you are in the fight both players on 20%health you kill a guy and gain bonus health for kiling him and you are now on 70% or: the amount of dmg you've done to him is how much health you are going to get from that kill.
This is good if the kill was assisted one and you should not gain whole bonus.
Also to this type of mechanic the bonus should be related on what mech did you kill because if you killed rocketeer and you are berserk you could go back to 100% health, but if you where assault you could gain max of 75%.
This mechanic could also extend to instant 3sec full fuel, or instant cooldown of weapons if they are in the red zone, or even both. If the game itself had something like this implemented I believe the game would be even more fast paced mech mayhem. Why_ Well you do die alot in the game no matter if you are skilled or no skilled, but this way you could have a chance for double kill, triple kill, multi kill, rampage ect. But this is something that would have to be really cautioslly implemented.
Totally off-topic:
-The game itself could have match history for player to select which ones does it want to have history on, or history itself, for examples something like quake live match history for non paid only 10 last matches for paid account 3-6months.
-Possible double xp/hawken points weekend on particular mods_ or for class play. For example if you play a match with infiltrator for every finished game you gain double xp for that mech and HP according to that.

2.- Bigger text as a must_ -> Yesh. Most of the times It's hard to read the data.. also certain in-game chat messages and/or events..
3.- Spectator mode -> Yesh. Good for tournaments and.. although be careful with its inherent negative potential.. that from a cheating standpoint. Also good for new players improving their learning curves, or to enjoy the show with different playing styles per mecha, or just for laughs if you wish... just to mention some. But again, caution with this.
* Bugs should be posted on the proper forum branch (as well) -> As for example, auto-selection criteria of items after a respawn, random infiltrator auto-selection prior to deploys, item:"guided bomb" mechanics/performance (I''m so sorry.. 3 hours of sleeping only), et cetera.
Just my two cents.

I don't know why the new FTP mech games are in love with this film grain fuzzy bunny. MWO does it too to the detriment of their game as well. Why spend so much time on pretty maps just to cover it all up_

Also, maybe it's just me, but in the settings UI the resolutions are out of order. Like 1440 is last on the list below 1920, but 1280 is above 1920 along with other randomly ordered resolutions

Big cookie for you to have gathered a great collection of minor improvements that (if they get fixed/implemented) will smoothen the overall gameplay for us. This is probably the best thread for the devs to look and work on right now, much better than some other suggestions made by new beta paticipants with limited experience (although the initial impression on a game is important aswell). I hope there will be other cool guys like you continuing this and save us all the trouble from posting all the issues.
