Welcome to the Extention of my Handy Hawken Handbook in the Game Modes category! In this portion of my guide, I'll be posting videos focusing more on the various game modes of Hawken rather than the mechs. To go view the part of my guide on mechs Click Here!

GAME MODES

This portion of my guide will focus on introducing new players to the various game modes of Hawken as well as discuss various tactics and strategies that can be used within the game modes. Hope you guys enjoy it!

SIEGE

How To Hawken: Siege Mode Basics

This video will contain basic info that will help you new guys get aquainted with the objectives, mechanics and basic strategies of siege mode! Essentially, it'll help you get your feet a little wet so you don't have to go into a Siege game not knowing up from down! Hope you guys enjoy, and if you want more on Siege, feel free to let me know!

A Note From Hobbes: The map in the video is indeed Siege: Bunker which is not available on any of the regular playlists. The reason I was able to play on this map was that one of the developers, [HWK] Ben, had shown up on the server I was playing on and offered to let us play a round of Siege: Bunker. Just in case you were wondering how I was able to play that map, now you know.

Lord Temujin's Siege Guide: This is pretty much my siege bible from where I learned to play siege. I highly suggest giving this a read if you have the time.

don't forget to outline when to shoot the ship in siege (because you can do it but not everyone realizes that )

Incin is basicly a walking AA.
Telling one to not shoot the Battleship when it's actually useful is stupid.

You should link to LordTemujin's Siege guide too since it's nice to have a typed version. I liked the video particularly because we're getting more development updates here than in the News & Announcements section!

There are some very limited circumstances where playing shoot the ship is useful, like when the enemy BS is low health and the enemy has AA really strongly, or when your base health is very low, enemy has AA, and your BS is out... otherwise do not shoot the ship...

Yes.  There are certain exceptions from when to shoot at the ship but i find often, the case is, experienced people dying in vain trying to take over the aa and all he other guys are shooting the ship FROM THE START.

Once you get to DM, I have tons of input. With over 1550 matches and going >.>

I think it would be helpful to newer players to talk about some of the common chat terms when playing Siege in pub games. Like what it means and when to say it: AA, Stay AA, 150 in, etc.

Also mention the little tips that make cooperative play more coordinated, like taking stock of your teammates' EU by looking at their name marker in the HUD, or always keeping an eye on the EU counter and heading to the AA when either team has less than 100 left to launch.

Okay... fine... I'll get one done some time. But honestly, I think Omega's guide to the DM mode would be better than mine since he plays that a lot more than I do. You do have a DM guide, right Omega_ .-.
