On a more serious note, if you would like to have the EU bracket have different rules, I can put up a poll. Actually, let's do that. If you're an EU player and you don't want people to be able to use the AC, like this post.

For the tournament and the sake of fairness, there are internal restrictions as well. Some internals are just too good to not have. Reconstruct, composite, etc.

3. FORMAT:

• The Tourney will be a single elimination. There may or may not be multiple brackets depending on how many total participants there are, what region they are from, and what their mmr is.
• Each player will participate in 1 match per week, starting the first full week of May, and continuing until all rounds are complete. Players will set up a time and server to play their matches through forum PMs. Once a time is confirmed, it will be posted in this thread. Any player who fails to come to a set time or fails to respond to a PM within the week will be disqualified.

There will be (hopefully) 3 NA brackets and 1 EU bracket. They will be separated by MMR and will each contain 8 players.

I second this. Seems fun, and my most enjoyable moments in Hawken are random 1v1s on the field; but i don't really like the 'duel' setting. Texture-less field only used for 1v1 and artificial restrictions- meh.

It's a good indicator the same way 'West' is a good indicator for where to find water- it's not quite UTTERLY meaningless...per se...

A 2.4k mmr player will usually get wrecked by a 2.6k (aka top 20) player, just wanted to point that out.

 

Also west for water? Wut? We drink whiskey out here. And beer, iff it's good beer, or you're in college.
