So, I noticed that some people from the EU region that are a part of the clan KDR have the clan initials added to their names. Not sure if it's just on forums and they did it manually or not.

 

But, I do know that changing callsigns manually is possible, and the number people in clans isn't huge. But with that being said, we can use the callsign change as it will identify clan members and it's just overall DOPE!!

 

So, for example, the THC clan members will have their callsigns changed to:

 

[THC] incitatus

[THC] Badtings

[THC] comic_sans

[THC] CraftyDus

[THC] Elite              (me current callsign is EliteShooter, but I want the shooter part to be removed so badly, plx devs mek it heppen)

[THC] eth0

[THC] Glytched

[THC] JeffMagnum

[THC] phed

[THC] PoopSlinger

 

 

I'm fairly sure that an automated system will be in place soon that will take care of all clan related stuff, but for now, having those requested changes made manually would mean A LOT. Like, A LOT.

As to the (KDR) clan tags we have done this manually. From what I know the square brackets are reserved for devs only, that's why it's use is prohibited in callsigns. That is also why KDR has chosen parentheses instead of brackets as a clan indication not only due to the limitation but also to avoid confusion. 

 

I'm still hoping for a proper clan system, but for now this is good enough.

Forum name changes are a thing, the in-game tags are WIP. Updates will come.

You didn't understand. The idea is that name changes will happen under the request of a clan leader.

Hi, yes, KDR took a clan wide vote on a united forum presence. There is no clan system in place (as you know) so this only effects the forum Display Name, not the in-game call-sign. We just all changed our display names to accommodate the (KDR) tag. You can only change your Display Name once every 28 days so make sure your guys get it right if you decide to go ahead. 

 

As Dr_Freeze stated the [] are locked so I discussed with other clan leaders and Tiggs about what options we had. the [] are reserved for reloaded employees. We chose to use () but without a clan system in place it's open as to how you choose to display yours. My first thoughts were that all the clans should go for the same format which is why I discussed this with another EU clan leader before making the decision.

A support ticket would be filed and hopefully the tags would be removed from the offending party. We know and can prove exactly who our members are so that doesn't really worry me right now.

There are people in game that still have an [HFC] tag. It's definetly possible for clan tags to exist.

Friends list names don't update unless you remove and readd them.

I requested that everyone's HFC tags be removed since we all disbanded. But as far as I know, we were the only ones with clan tags from within the game system.
