One more crazy idea from The_Silencer but I think it can be made and end up looking cool enough in the game. Not to mention the customization factor into it.

 

Dunno.. what ya think?

 

P.S. Perhaps any artists in here might post a concept picture of it? - Have a good one, guys! ;)

You need create many flags, and it probably will be have one engine-base with different fire colors.
I actually see the same system with hologram in Robocraft. It look ugly.

Better spent this time to made 2-3 normal nice looking engines.

Not necessarily. You could just use the flags' color schemes, possibly with particles in the shapes of whatever icons are on the flags. It may not be as country specific, but still doable.

This game takes place on Illal.  So, it would have to be flags of the countries of that planet.  How would you feel if some alien force came along and planted it's own flags all over your world...  Oh, wait.  :(

Well the american one could play shotgun sound effects while little eagles dance around if you'd like

 

The canadian one would have some hockey player skating then all of a sudden it just shows a bunch of the word "Eh?" (with sound effects)

The russian one could have random censoring beeps played when they bumped into other mechs friendly or hostile

I said this idea was inherently crazy since minute 1 up there in the OP..

 

But at this point, I think would not be so bad idea adding country flags to pilots in the game. These could be displayed in the score tab, even in the pilot label on the HUDS ingame. This might require an option in the settings to turn on/off the display of flags as well..

 

Besides the fact that some would fake their country this feature might be interesting enough to be considered up there in the HWK labs.

 

This deserves it own thread so I'm opening a new one.

 

P.S. The actual thread mostly went in stall mode which isn't a bad thing either. We're here to discuss and deliver about thingies and/or more serious things of the game.
