Not sure if offtopic but it has hawken parts too so posting here.

Anyways i had a footage of crashed server mechs walking in place and decided to make a small hawken horror video for helloween but it turned on me   Previously there was this dude on soundcloud that offered his music and there was deus ex:human revolution footage picking up dust so it all came together and here is the result. Happy to hear any thoughts or critiques.

I have crit though.

 

I really like the first half, very atmospheric and the imagery fits together really well.

 

But then there's a lot of random bits of footage that kind of lets it down after that. The Hawken stuff for example I found a bit out of place, the cuts of the Hawken intro cinematic were fine because there's a hint of some narrative behind the scenes, but the rest feels like its just there as filler.

 

Also It felt like it was going to have a slowly unfolding morale about industry, technology war or something, but instead It kinda got repetitive with lots of randomly placed footage of different stuff until the ending shots.

Good observation. Noticed some of that myself. It's not that easy making good movies :) At first the whole thing had to be just robots mechs random cool imagery mashed up together. Simple. Later Ive started to look into lyrics thinking maybe i could squeze in some meaning into this. I can put part of the blame on my rig. When the work was nearing polishing stages editing became painfully slow. Also preview skips lots of frames so i had to render it out to just watch it properly couple of time. External hard drive as fast as it is probably is the main reason for slowdown. I guess my patience just ran out at the end Need an ssd asap but damn they are expensive.
