1. Get rid of MKII and MKIII items. Only deal with single items

2. Change the fitting screen so there are only 4 slots and have each item only use 1, while keeping the current limitations: 3 max item type and 3 max of any 1 item. We would however, get a bonus item when we do 3 types, 2-1-1.

3. (The Big One): Have all mechs use a shared pool of Items and Internals. I buy a HE Charge for my Bruiser, I can take it off my Bruiser and put it on my Assault.

This way, it feels less grindy, buying parts that only apply to each mech (and we will have 30 of them now!).

It also would allow players to test items. If I buy a part I'm not sure about, I know I can theoretically remove it from that mech and apply it to another that it might work better on.

I own every non-G2 mech, and most of my mechs lack full loadouts because I feel the current system is a rip off. Either do it this way (which seems more realistic than the other option), or give us the option to buy Global unlock options for each item.

Also, getting rid of MKII and MKIII stuff makes this a lot simpler.

Remove AC.

Also, OP, in #3 did you mean that you could transfer items around and retain the number you bought (e.g long example, if I buy a detonator for my zerker, would I need to remove from the zerker to put it on my scout?), or just make the unlock global across mechs

What if we just give some bacon paint, some bacon holo-emotes and change Bunker from snow to bacon.

This way, everyone will be happy.

What you should really do, is replace your parts with bacon, so you can cook games and eat bacon

Obviously the wallpaper would be cooler if bacon was incorporated into it.

I want there to be only 1 use per item per match (you don't refill when you die). This way you can keep the Mk II & III items but keep them limited. Actually, I don't like any of the items, so remove all of them, please.

Personally, I'd like to see some sort of 5 or 6 slot items. With 5 slot ones you might see the ability cool down one getting more use. They could still only have the three charges of the 4 slot items but give some sort of extra benefit of dumping more points into it.  Possibly more range for a turret or emp/ism for instance. Also Larger blockades = more shenanigans. A larger selection of passive 1 slot items would be nice as well.

For internals it would be kind of nice if there were some larger ones as well / more options on the upper end.

Remove AC.

Also, OP, in #3 did you mean that you could transfer items around and retain the number you bought (e.g long example, if I buy a detonator for my zerker, would I need to remove from the zerker to put it on my scout?), or just make the unlock global across mechs

Essentially, the detonator would be put into an inventory (where you could own multiples of any 1 item of course) when you remove it from a mech. So if you wanted 3 detonators on an Assault, you would buy 3 of them and put them on your Assault individually, but in the future, you could take 1,2 or all 3 off and put them on other mechs.

This of course means that "technically", all you need is 3 of each item if you feel like swapping loadouts between mechs constantly, but its up to you if you want to keep buying more items/internals so you have enough to prevent swapping them around.

I myself could see buying 6-9 of every item and having a group of mechs outfitted, and then slowly outfitting more and more over time once I got nothing else to spend HC on.

I'm really against the idea of things being tied to specific mechs. I will be extremely against it once we have 30 mechs. So something needs to change because I refuse to spend HC on items/internals for these reasons:

1. I haven't tested some of the items enough to know which ones fit me better. This is kind of a chicken before the egg kind of scenario. I need to buy them to test them but I don't want to buy them knowing they might not be the best option

2. I may end up not liking the mech I'm buying them for

3. The items and mechs I own might be fine, but might not be the best fit for each other

If this system was in place, I would buy 3 of each item from the get go so I can test them, then buy more for specific mechs once I know what I want. Trading parts needs to happen.

Finally, they could of course that give us a "global unlock" option for parts, which would be still be cool, but I feel that Part Trading is more realistic (unlike having infinite amounts of each part) and just more interesting.
