I get that there might be a balancing issue but even if you gave mechs a few different options to choose from. it would add a little bit more variation and allow for less cookie cutter builds.

Sir, do you look through the rest of the forum before opening up new threads? This particular type of discussion has several other threads floating around already. Plus General discussion would not be where you would make a suggestion. Suggestions and Idea would be.
That said a limited number of customizations would be nice. But at this point, it also would be more prudent to stay their course with the set builds driving people to learn and unlock their mech/mech tree. I feel we will soon see the new mech release of some requested build types.
