Thought of a new mech idea based off the nief chassis that isn't being used at the moment.

Name: Saboteur
Class A

primary: Eoc Repeater?
Alternate: ???
Prestige: Heat cannon?
Secondary: Disruption beam (will also explain later)
New weapon: Zeus? (will explain later)
Ability: Hacking pulse
Item: Ism-Disruptor

Zeus: Some kind of lightning weapon that fires lightning similar to the RD-Shock repair drone. High damage burst? Low constant damage? IDK its just an idea right now

Disruption beam/gun: similar to the helix repair torch it will lock on to the target and do constant damage. It will also slowly overheat the target as well since its like a microwave. Could also cause the enemy's hud to be glitchy and flashing will being hit with the beam. Way more damage than the repair torch.

Hacking pulse: Disables all enemy mechs in a certain area, shuts off all systems and shuts down cloaked enemies. While the enemy is shut down, multiple warning lights and a skull and crossbones will appear on the enemies screen. The time disabled will be a bit longer than an emp. Not sure if it should give the damage increasing debuff as well.

Cool down: Whatever seems balanced :)

The whole point of this mech is to disrupt and sabotage enemies to make them more vulnerable for the team. Similar to the technician, this mech does not 1 v 1 other mechs very well.But it is still able to more than the technician. It is a support mech.

This is my first post so let me know what you think and what improvements can be made to this idea. It would be cool to see one of these someday in battle.Raw stats will be added later.

Wome details and post structure is missing but JESUS! Not another beam, please!

Great but not another "System..#$$#!". Too many EMP's flying around every match. It gonna be little boring. Anyway nice try. Let's get more suggestions, lets help our devs:P

I agree, the beam seems to op to make another. I would still like to use the hacking pulse ability. Any ideas with it?

1 variant

hacking: destroy enemies radar and interface (crosshair, abilities icons) on 3-4 second, in 40-50 meters range

 

2 variant

hacking: prohibits the enemies use their abilities on 3-4 seconds, in 50-60 meter range, or prohibits use ability to a single targets on 6-7 second (if enemies in your crosshair) even if enemy stand so far (like SS for example)

I like the hacking idea but the ability would have to be either nerfed or the cooldown be a complete bother for it to work out. Maybe you shut down both your own as well as one on the enemy team? Not sure how that would affect gameplay.

Variant 1 seems like the best idea I've heard so far. How about the ability consumes all your fuel as well?
I will have some balanced stats posted shortly.

Also I have a rework for the disruption beam idea. This may be a bit OP

Now its less of a beam and more like a laser, shoots perfectly straight and looks like a beam of heat (kinda like a heat ripple).
It should have a very high heat rate and low damage, but over time it will do more damage the more it hits the target. Should have its damage also based on its range.
Idea came from another game i love.
This sounds totally unbalanced, let me know what you think :)

Well your  ability idea is quite similar to my proposed Disruptor proposal (Total shutdown....... Best against siege camper)

The hacking ability should instantly cloak your mech in a pred style invisibility,you then now have control over the clossest mech within your hacking proximity the user can only watch as you then drive there mech at there own team mates and destroy them all the main advantage being the name of the mech you just hacked and stole still registers as a friendly,also this is timed of course say a minute.
