This is somewhat concerning actually. It's extraordinarily rare for posts to be deleted without justification.

 

It's impossible to delete any content in the forums, so this means that it was an administrator. What's more, one of the comments that was removed was Merl's, which contained information on C05's response.

 

This is particularly interesting. If there another NDA, could C05's post have offended it? If not, then why was this piece of information removed?

welp if NDA's are being invoked it means something, but that list ranges from partnerships, sell outs, investments, finances, releases, etc

but now we cant talk much about development action because anything mentioned would potentially indicate and implicate so R.I.P.

 

to be fair, i remember distinctly way way back early on that the IP hawken would be under the wing of the "playhawken" company with a loose connection to reloaded games, so this is not all that big a thing really

The connection to Mark Long seems a little too coincidential to be something concrete in my opinion.  Regardless, I think it'd still be neat to see a return of more prominent Hawken lore.

 
I'm not so sure.  What I find interesting is that Reloaded buys Hawken, Mark starts up Shrapnel who just happens to have a client named Skymoons, who then happens to buy something from Reloaded.  At first since I believe the majority of development for APB was in the UK, I thought it they were only interested in APB, but with both the UK address of the old studio and Hawken now missing from the website, something is telling me that its Hawken and not APB they are interested in.  This isn't the first time the chinese have been interested in Hawken, don't you remember KongZong investing 10+ million in it years ago.

I don't understand what I am looking at. It looks like the flash inset is screwed up and placed the Fallen Earth info on the background of Hawken. Isn't Fallen Earth just a post apocalyptic MMO?

CZeroFive hasn't posted anything on the forums.  Merl also conveniently left out what CZeroFive actually said.

Obviously something was said privately either on the discord server, teamspeak, or in #hawkenscrim.

See, I have trouble believing that Merl is a liar and made up a conversation that happened in private, especially now that Silverfire has confirmed that a conversation did actually transpire.  I also cannot conclude a valid reason why Merl would make up such a story in the first place.

I don't believe that statement, and I'm not sure you are convincing the others either.

Yes, I was also confused after thoroughly looking at the image. From my rush to let the community know as fast as possible, I had thought the URL for that Wayback Machine archive simply showed a different headline for the Hawken banner.

 

My guess is Wayback Machine's caching system has somehow managed to remember my last visit from a very long time ago, and the banner used to be in that same spot. The image seems to be there, but not the text. Interestingly, when I visit the same URL, this is no longer the case. Which to me means that wayback may not be as reliable as I had initially guessed. Also, this didn't happen until I initiated a new capture for Feb 21, 2017.

Yes, I experienced something different than you when I followed the link you provided, but luckily for me I have an interesting quirk where I can recall things I've seen even if I've only seen it once or twice.  You are correct that there used to be a HWK on the top banner, and a webpage about Hawken on that site.  I remember seeing it and I can 100% confirm your findings.  There also seems to be only one address associated with Reloaded games on the about us page now, where before there used to be two.  Both of those things I feel are important clues.

 

I think the date things changed is rather irrelevant.  The fact is what was once there is no longer there, the million dollar question is WHY?

From a business standpoint it seems legit.

You just downgrade assets for mobile, do some silly gameplay with it and you sell those virtual walkers like hotcakes! 

Alternative is to please couple angry veterans on pc and try to make hawken of their dreams   with no promise of new players really.

There's no schedule changes as far as I am aware. PC update is still early 2017. We'll have a dev blog possibly later today.
