Ok Ninja_Goat you are right of course.   So, it wasn't all bad and I am back home now but not officially HAWKEN-ing until tomorrow. My wife and the unborn 'Baby Pasta' need my attention this evening.

Ok, it's been another very busy week for KDR but the Sunday session is looming again and a here's our chance to show you all just how much has been going on behind the scenes over the past 7 days.
 
I am planning a little celebration tomorrow evening so please, if you haven't already, go fill out the attendance document as soon as possible. It's important that we know exactly who we are expecting.
 
As I have said, we have made some really significant changes to how we run (and balance) the Sunday sessions but it will only work with your cooperation.

Yeah was a good even match on the siege (best mode with two decent teams). Apologies everyone for the other two games, was playing terrible that evening (more so then usual).

Fighting in KDR sundy matches its the best time of my week , i wait whole week for this special training time.

Let's face it: No. We all have got things to do and many of us probably wouldn't have the time for another Training Session within the week. I think training one time per week is definitely enough and sure we all enjoy it, but you also have to think about the extra work our lovely leaders would have with organizing another session, they are already overworking themselves. Probably there will be another session for the Comp Team once we'll have one, but at the moment there isn't a big need for it anyway.

 

If you really want to have fun another evening weekly, every Wednesday there's an EU event called Ultra-Violent Wednesday. It is also organized by members of KDR and many of us are there every week, but it's not for the clan only, so if you want you'll be able to bring your friends there and let us all have fun. I think it's awesome that you are enjoying the clan HAWKENTerminator and the Sunday sessions are a lot of fun. This last Sunday's especially. However, Ertzunterwtler is right that at the moment the leadership team are very pushed already as there is a great deal more that goes on behind the scenes than you perhaps see at the weekly session.

 

It is also true that the KDR leadership team are all  professionals in  IT, Management, Teaching, The Military and more besides as well as having families too. So time is very precious to us indeed. We love what we do in HAWKEN though and it's our combined experience that make us good at running the clan I guess.

 

For the moment, we will stick to one session per week and we will be running a comp team at some point soon as Ertz has pointed out.

 

(KDR) Batpanda and (KDR) Dr_Freeze do a fantastic job of running Ultra Violent Wednesday so I highly recommend that you check that out.

Ladies and Gents of the KDR, I have an important announcement to make;

He's a really awesome guy from across the pond in Alaska! as always folks, make him feel at home with a KDR welcome!

HAHAHA!! Thank you so much, Pandabaron, Pastorius, HAWKENTerminator, who kept NAGGING me to join! , and also, Silverfire, who helped me get everything sorted out. I'm still learning a lot, but I think you'll enjoy that I'm a team player, bring a thoughtful, analytical approch to things, just finished a shopping spree, I have about 48 mechs, fully prepped & equipped, so whatever tool the team leader needs, I have a healthy toolbox to use! It is my goal to not just have fun, but also improve my shooter skills, my HAWKEN skills, and challenge a few people as well! - had a GREAT discussion with Panda about tactics! I'll be a bit quiet at first, getting a feel for all your playing styles, getting a feel for the radio chatter, and believe I can be a real supportive asset to any team, whether it's Tech, Support, or if you need a crazy Incini minesweeper out there...

A bit about me, if there is any game I have "down", and mastered, it's Sid Meyer's Civilization, and the new Beyond Earth space sim. those strategy games make you analyze how critical every opening move is, and you develop a process of making a move, checking the consequence 5-10 turns down, and readjusting your procedures.

My approach to Hawken is incremental improvement, from hardware setup, team makeup, item selection - my philosophy - If I die without expending ALL my items.... I brought the wrong stuff! - Even communication and voice procedure - it's this refining process that's so enjoyable to me. I look forward to learning everyone's strengths and skills, and being a great support!

I LOVE the Patlabor Anime series, and if you haven't seen those - I encourage you all to check them out. There are 3 movies, the main TV series, the New Files series, and the "Prequal" Ova series. The best in Anime, with a very Western, realistic feel, well-written stories, great characters and voice actors, And really gives a realistic look at the benefits and problems with technology, industrial development, in a Not-To-Distant Mech based future. Highly Recommended.

I spent a few years in the U.S. Air Force, maintaining flightline & snow removal fleet, got out to stay in Alaska, after a few jobs, ended up doing Cold Weather Durability test driving for VW/Audi, for about 8 years, LOVED the job! Got to see the latest tech, focued on durability development. As it was a seasonal job, I got out, decided to try taxi driving for a bit, and got good at it, so much so, I started a small taxi company to service the North Pole area. (Just outside of Fairbanks). It's a time-involving job, but enjoyable, and when it's slow, that gives me time to work on my Hawken!

It's great to have another military man from across the pond and (KDR) Seron gets a new friend too :) The question is "Do you like cookies?" Anyway's, I am sure you are going to be a positive addition to the team.

NRgk64, I am truly sorry that you didn't meet the age requirements this time and please don't take it personally. It's not just for HAWKEN or KDR reasons however, its also a professional decision on my part. I am a Teacher in the UK and, rightly so, we have very strict guidelines about how we conduct ourselves online. I hope you understand.
