G1 mechs are hawken mechs as you knew them before the update, mostly. With the update came G2 mechs, which are upgraded versions (more speed, more health, etc).

but G1 mechs gain you +20% credits and exp. it is "for farm" mechs.

The G1 bundle also gives you EXCLUSIVE mechs that you are unable to get by grinding. You can't get them in-game, only with the bundle. This is complete garbage.
