Hi,

 

Everything has been running fine until today when i had some sort of STEAM glitch and then when I got back to HAWKEN my Mech was pointing max up and spinning max to the left.

 

I have restarted Windows 10, checked drivers, un plugged all other perifials and followed the below forum directioin. Every time i do the changes and save them all OK. I then go into game and the spinning is back, I then return to the config file and it has changed the fix back to how it was ..... i keep changing and saving and checking but each time i load game it re happens.

Any one advise??? WHy wont he changes stay saved?

have you tried re-calibrating your controller

Controller dead zones can contribute to this but given he is on steam and win10, my first assumption would have been kbm.

I have done the reset defaults already a few times as I thought first up it was fat finger problems.

 

I fix the lookup problem with the ini file change and it mostly stays at the value i enter but the lookleft value keeps reseting to default .... round and round I go ....

 

I dont use a controller Im on keyborad and mouse. Even when I have unplugged EVERYTHING including keyborad and mouse ... round and round i go ....

 

is there a reason why I make changes to the config file and the game changes them back .... if it keeps the changed values problem is solved but it changes them back.

also, try to check "read only" option at your hawken config folders.

in C:\Users\@Username@\Documents\My Games\Hawken\HawkenGame\Config

i hear about this problem before from other players, and if i remember correct (sry if i'm wrong) in a last time problem was caused by connected to PC keyboard+gamepad at the same time, i mean, take out the gamepad from PC, and reset controls. in a last time it help players with the same problem. will sad if it not works :C

edit. oh, sry, i misreading that you don't have gamepad xD

Did you try deleting config files from my documents? try to delete it and relaunch game, let the game create new files.
(make a config backup before, just in case)
