So I did a thing a week or two ago, collecting the Avg. MMRs of USE servers (they're usually the most populated ones) from the herokuapp thing and taking a giant composite average of all of those. Right now it doesn't seem to be turning up more than 3 servers at a time, so I guess I'll just post whatever data I've got.

Here's the statistics

The current average MMR seems to be hovering somewhere around 1600, though I don't have enough info to be sure.

I'll probably get more data when all this server stuff gets sorted out.

In-game, friend "ScrimBot"

Then open up a chat with him and say "mmr" and it will show you.

With smurfpocolypse in full swing right now, any data gathered is bound to be corrupted.

Why smurf to get into low mmr games or to have good stats? Just grind like me or use matchmaking to get into a game which has an average mmr 700 lower than my current one

1600? Is that even above the starting MMR?!

I'm pretty sure starting mmr is 1250, but it might be 1500.

Starting MMR should be 1250 right now, though it used to be 1500 a while ago

Does anyone actually have hard data on "the smurf problem"?

I feel like it's brought up a lot, and presented as if it's a huge issue, but I've never seen anything close to actual data about how widespread it is, or how many people are affected by it. Everything I see has been anecdotal at best, if not entirely wild speculation.

It's hard to say because we have no foolproof empirical way to identify re-rolls.

Probably dave dragging down the curve.

I think that'd be me; 1435. I really should just give up on the mechs I suck at, but the completionist in me is keeping me in the Raider, Scout (both too close-in for me) and the three Class C mechs I own until all are Rank 6, so expect my MMR to decline further until then.

Still recovering from a neurological incident, spent a couple months learning how to walk without a cane,

figured I'd try a fast-paced game to see if I could get my reflexes back to where they were.

Garage:

A - Infiltrator, Reaper, Technician, Scout

B - Assault (x2), Predator, Raider

C - Brawler, Vanguard, Incinerator
