Sure. They're increasing the TTK, but they've done nothing, absolutely nothing, to address the fact that burst is highly superior to sustained damage.
Burst is also part of the fun, and a coordinated burst requires some skill (well, maybe not for every class but that's where the balance should be).
First off, coordinating burst damage doesn't take that much skill, especially in close range. Mid range merely requires you to lead with the slower traveling weapon and following up with the fast one. Long range means you're taking potshots where it doesn't matter, or you're playing SS, which again doesn't matter because of hitscan.
Secondly, what does "fun" have to do with the fact that burst is BETTER than sustained damage_ Whether burst is the most mind numbingly boring task in the world, or tantamount to having an fuzzy bunny, is entirely irrelevant.
