When devs go quiet, it usually means one of two things: either (1) they're doing nothing, or (2) they really need to focus because they're working on something complex.  Assuming Adhesive isn't just sitting on hands, we can probably assume #2.

To be fair he did say something on the Cockpit but no actual date, basically "Sometime in June". Which to me says they have no idea when they will be finished the patch. An official post for people who have not or don't watch the Cockpit would be nice, even a bloody teaser or something because they won't say what the next patch has in it, lol.

I don't think you've been paying attention to "dev talk" for long enough... =p  In my experience, "sometime in June" means June 30 when game devs are talking.
