What kind of maps would you like to see in Hawken

  1. Night time map with lights on mechs or night vision. (84 votes [11.72%])

Ok everyone, I thought I would do this to see what kinds of maps we would all like to see at some time, in Hawken. So above I have listed a whole bunch of map ideas taken from the ‘Map Suggestions’ thread started by Spliff Craven. Here's the link, https://community.pl...ap-suggestions/

The purpose of this is not to find out what map you would like to see next, but just to find out what maps you would like to see in the future. This also has nothing to do with new game modes.

Snow map - i think it's little stupid in future/postapoc setting game. Night time map - i think it may hard to play, but new mech ability - "thermal vision" (we call it yet so) It can be very useful and handy on night map.
lava, and other strange "liquid" - no!
canyon, rock, cliff - it's so bored too.

I would also like to map with destroyed (in part) skyscrapers, in the ruins of the lower floors would fight bellows.

I'd voted for everything since I like all of those ideas, but I think that we need not One Great Distinctive Universal Map In Unique Style (that require much work to do), but more maps, even if they are based on current themesmix of them. Especially if they will be built without doomed intent to cover all gamemodes.

Lets left Origin for siege only (since every game there will become siege) and make another origin-styled map for TDM or MA. Lets mix frontline-style base with eco-styled forest it is stands in. Make desert map with abandoned big underground uptown-style city. Such approach will produce many specialized maps without great effort and wasting time, thing that currently hawken needs much more then 8th Unique Map.

I like everything except for the vertical map, just 'cuz my grenny ain't a bird^^

On a sidenote - I would sincerely love to see the map-effects affecting gameplay - like a quicker heat build on a volcanic map or wind affecting the projectile-path on a storm-related map. Sliding across a frozen lake yould be fun as well^^
Oh, and I really like the idea of a universal map, Rajhin^^
We could walk across the region to get involved, or choose your area of interest beforehand and get transferred to the battlefield.
Maybe too much MMO though for Hawken.

Keep those brains thinking, guys!

I love vertical maps.  Platform hopping King of the Hill!

I love the idea of a snowblind map.

I love the idea of the mech graveyard, maybe even have a forge that disrupts radar near the center_

Water maps and nighttime maps rarely work out well, though a nighttime city map with plenty of overhead lighting and some shadowy alleys & overpasses would be great.

Having mud makes a lot of sense for a derelict docks map.  Love that one too!

A burned out european mansion with a massive hedgerow maze (they actually stopped tanks, yes really) would be sweet.

A highway cloverleaf scattered with vehicles to stomp and a section blown away would be cool.

A battle on the top two floors and roof of a blasted futuristic skyscraper would be hilarious.  Fall and die.

User made maps should definitely have a place before the release version.
Even if Ranking must be turned off for Matches that run mods or user maps, the game NEEDS this.
With the huge community of Unreal map-makers out there, Hawken need never hurt for maps.  This is silliness.

A vertical map would be cool, but i don't think the jet packs are mobile enough just yet. We're however getting there due to improvements such as the air compressor and the air 180.

Personally, I want to see desolation. I want ruined landscapes that bleed into eachother. Like collapsed buildings in a dank swamp.
I like Facility, because there is the inside basement parts but I think it needs a bit more war to have happened.
