Uh wtf who started trolling and harassing taw thats not acceptable. And my response was not a complaint sorry if it came off that way. I love the idea and was just thinking of maybe some friends who would like to get together and play it. Anyways like I said before all best of luck and the trolls are wrong and have no right to do that. Man some people these days. But I guess I am also adding wood to the fire I think it is best this thread be re-done.

Lol...if I have 12+ accounts...which MMR do I use_

I don't think I've ever checked any of my MMR's, I'm more of a K/D guy.

But lets hypothetically say I have >1600 on Reaper, and <1600 on Brawler. Would it be ok for me to play on the Brawler account because I'm obviously not the worlds best Brawler, or would it not be ok for me to play at all because I have an account over 1600_

When I said >1600 I meant outside the 1850 max, I kinda just skimmed the post because I was on my phone so I only read the first part where it said "1600".

Then I guess the 'spirit' of the rules is what applies here. The tournament is intended for newer, less experienced players. Having an account above 1850 would suggest that you don't fall into this target group.

Technically, yes, you could participate. However, the same could be said for 'smurf' accounts (even if that isn't the reason you have multiple accounts).

I think you are right, because where do you draw the line_ By that logic anyone could just make a brand new alt and join up to compete.

Even if I used a class I don't do very well in I don't think it would be in the spirit of the Tournament.

It's for Amateurs and although I don't play competitively I am certainly no amateur. Lol.

(And yeah I have Alts, not Smurfs...it hurts there feelings when you call them that : / Not to mention that most of them are level 25+ at this point since I've been playing so long so they hardly count as "smurfing" I actually plan to have a level 30 account for every single class eventually lol.)

'Smurfing' is something very different from how you use them, yes. It's not the way I'd want to do things but I guess it keeps the accounts tidy

What if, purely theoretically of course, you created a smurf account, to gauge your mmr, and then found out that that the smurf account had a much higher mmr then your main account_

That still doesn't change the intent of the rules set in place here.

The issue with smurf accounts, when used in their intended context, is that a skill player is placed against low-skilled players. If a smurf account ends up being higher ranked than the original account then it's become rather redundant; that, or the original account has

I'm also saddened by the lack of dev support for this tournament. A simple pin would help grab some attention with all the spamming that has been going on.

It's great that it is aimed towards new and less experienced players, but what i came across is that after my friend asked me to join this tournament with him, I decided to give the game a try. Played 2 hours (including the ingame practice/training, which was awful ) and ended up to 1700+ mmr. I mean if I play this game more than 4 hours I'm sure I'm over the 1850 limit and not allowed to participate anymore. And I haven't played this game before excluding like 1 hour in closed beta, so how come a new player can go over the limit so easily. So I guess I'm not allowed to train for the tournament then, because I'm gonna go over the mmr limit

The answer is most don't raise their MMR so quick.  Congrats you are well on your way to becoming a very good player.
