bunker is my favorite maps, its open and the is a lot of freedom to move about! guess I am the one outta 10 that likes it.

I, for one, don't enjoy getting Hellfire locked on and sniped from across the map the moment I get out of cover anywhere on the map.

This thread showed me that some new players like this map.
I also like to boost on the hills guys, but this map lacks cover, which is essential in HAWKEN.

I dont loathe it as much as I used to. I feel like some thing happened where hellfires dont hit you no matter what you do. It could use more cover I suppose but its not totally broken.

My only complaint is that its small and very easy to respawn right in the middle of the enemy team.

also, MA mode on @Bunker it's totally stupid gameplay. Just a-class carousel. doubly worse than MA on facility!
notes: devs need added in MA waiting time for respawn, like in siege mode.

^ That is another issue, I find myself spawning behind enemy line more often than any other map.

I don't think "more cover" is actually going to solve the problem with the map, unless by more cover you mean more roofed structure. The issue, IMHO, is that there's too much vision. A Rocketeer could fly straight up the moment the round starts and immediate spot the enemy team, which is simply not on. Unless they somehow expand the missile silo structure and the central bunker extensively, I doubt things will change much, you'll still have flying Rocketeers raining Hellfire and SS/Reaper pewpewing you from across the map the moment you poke your head out.

if this solve one part of problem, it's will be good in any case.

one of idea too. create a 0-floor.

underground floor with 4 slopes on each side of bunker. As if the bunker in the center was opened.
This is an excellent solution to the problem, because map style is not changed.
Because now it's not @Bunker.
Now i can called this map @Frozen Hills. and i will be 100% right. This is not @Bunker!

I'm not fond of Bunker at all, but if we keep removing maps from the rotation we'll only have three maps left: Wreckage, Front Line and Facility. Every other map has something wrong with it...

I get the feeling that we won't see any revolutionary changes to old content maps and Mech/Weapon combinations in the near future. Perhaps it's just wishful thinking, but in a couple years I really want to see all the old maps fixed and old weapon setups revamped (see: Bruiser, Fred vs. Assault, Vulcan on everything).

The fundamental flaw that bunker has is that it has nothing called "Flow".
It's open.
The player is not led.
It's messy.
It highly favours A classes.
and above all, is way too small.

As someone said above, it's effectively a round-a-bout.

Some things that could be considered for "fixing":
Large geographical displacement.
MA mode:  Space out Silos further.
Add more refined trenches.

Then go around the hills instead of over them. Stay in the valleys.

Bunker has plenty of cover. The problem is that it's all smoothly rolling cover that you can walk over, so instead of staying low people walk/boost up over it, and then get sniped while they're exposed/out of cover. It's like if you played on Prosk and always jumped from rooftop to rooftop instead of staying down in the streets.

Except outer ring is exposed too. Fact of the matter is, a flying Rocketeer WILL have vision of you regardless of which direction you go. If you intend to do anything aside from sitting behind cover, somebody on the other side of the map can and will spot you.

Frankly, Bunker can be renamed to Shoot-Across-The-Map: The Map, because that is precisely what takes place on there every game.

I find it funny people call the small snowy hills "cover" since hellfires can arc over them. Plus a large portion of your mech is exposed when going over, retreating into and traversing between said "cover". In reality there is a circular path around the outer perimeter of the map, a triangle deathtrap in the middle and actual cover in the form of rock spires which are few and far between which also circles the outer perimeter.

Ranged map, not suitable for balanced play.
