It was a regular day of fighting for Ganev's strategic points, and our guys had quite an advantage. We captured the AA and a couple of byways — everything was going as planned.
And then...
We were attacked by an unknown force. Well, if you can call that a "force". Clanking, wobbly robots, they seemed almost antique, as if they'd stepped right out of a steampunk novel. They were mechanical, with plastic hoses for hydraulic actuators. Looked like they were made of basic materials with little technology involved. Heck, some of them had actual cogwheels in the mechanism! And they were armed with goddamn jaws and pincers!
Yep. Melee mechs.
They were quite fast, but that was not enough. We crushed them left and right, and it was fun and well until a loud SWOOSH followed by a deafening ZING rendered us unarmed.
A MASSIVE F-TYPE EMP CHARGE LANDED NEAR THE CITY!
Whole Ganev went out in a flash. All electronics stopped working, and so did our weapons. Being an army of mechanical robots, the enemy remained unaffected. We were screwed. There was only one thing that could save us — restoring power supply by installing three generators at the elevation points A04, H21 and Q57.
Time was running out. We had to act quickly.
man, what a silly story xD
Rules of the Event
Spoiler
Following my first event, I am now launching the second event dedicated to finding the way out of Front Line to three high places on the map, in the form of challenges. The first person to post a video of him or her going from Front Line's AA to a challenge's destination point in the offline Exploration Mode claims the prize.
There will be three challenges of the kind; each consecutive challenge is more difficult, with a bigger prize, as compared to the previous one. The second challenge will be posted after the winner for the first challenge is decided, and the third challenge will be posted after the winner for the second challenge is decided.
Because Front Line is a holey map and many Hawken veterans know how to get out of it, I tried my best to find points on the map that take both skill and creativity to get to.
I will be posting hints as to how to get to a challenge's destination point every once in a while if I see that you guys are struggling to get there.
The MC prizes are provided by Hughes and ZamboniChaos. Meteor credits will be transferred directly to the winners' accounts, which means they are not MC codes. Note that each participant can claim only one prize.
Because I am a member of Vodka People, the entire clan is banned from the event, lest I be accused of rigging it.
Please click "Like This" if you like the event. The more likes we gather, the more likely it is that the devs will provide me with MC prizes for future events.
