I guess I have been following the dev's example when it comes to writing the news for the clan, so I'm going to try to break that habit.  Here's what I have so far:

TDM's premier team for TPG Season 4, Killer Robots from Outer Space: Rachet AF division, Has had it's membership pretty much locked in place.  The team is practicing hard, and it shows.  

Their fundamentals are in solid shape due to the regimen that they have followed since the beginning of the year, with the only thing that they truly need to work on at the fundamental level is working as a team, which they are improving on by leaps and bounds. all in all, I'm real proud of the progress that these pilots have made overall.

 

 

As of late, practice attendance has dwindled considerably, and I may now know why this is happening. I have come to the realization - with the help of external resources - that TDM has garnered the appearance of shifting its focus from core community development to competitive preparation. that being said: TDM is splitting practice nights into two groups - TPG teams and clan games. 

as of now, those members who do not wish to participate in competitive hawken are encouraged to come out and join the rest of us in an old school TDM practice: DM warmups, a couple of team-based matches, and a cooldown. that's right folks, it's the return of the back of the bus! as per usual, TDM will still hold its gatherings on Tuesday and Thurday Nights, starting at 9pm EST.

 

Lastly, I found out that I enjoyed commentating on the impromptu 1v1 tournament tonight. maybe I'll bug Nept et al to do it for the next 3v3...

If my assumptions are correct, the trentik server has been taken down, and we will need to start paying for it. I'm going to discontinue the website, and start redirecting funds towards paying for a hawken server.

The real premise was to allow people to join the match without password disclosure, as in let MM dropins get in on the action, and get hem into TS.

Private servers without passwords allow us to do that, and we no longer have that resource available to us.

And there are definitely servers still up that people aren't intending to renew. I think this is a backend issue or something, not the switch to the new system.
