Otherwise Offensive?  Maybe to a certain religious nut-jobs who think AIDs is god's way of getting back at the wicked and sex that is bad.

Deity, politics, religion? Nope, theres no condom political group and no religions (That I know) mention them.

Non-sensical?  Nope.  This would disqualify so many names.

Of all of the names that are -IN- violation of TOS, a well known name that does not violate the TOS gets changed, and then gets labeled as such? Why didn't they stick with the "mechfighter1a2b3c" format?
