SMC could use some adjustment, if only for clarity.

SMC is a strange weapon:

It has a higher rate of fire than the Point D-Vulcan (8.7 vs 8.3 rps), despite the latter looking and sounding like it should spit out a veritable wall of lead.

It has the same spread as the Hawkins-RPR (3.5), a weapon that resembles a long barreled auto cannon. You would think it would out class a comically over sized P90 in that department.

Despite a slightly sharper fall off, it has a higher minimum DPS than the AR. The result is that the SMC has better maximum DPS between 0 and 60 meters, and between 175 and infinity. To put that in perspective, a B mech side dash is 19 meters.

All this in a package that has one the lowest heat generations of any weapon in the game.

And here is where all these numbers are coming from.

and i have been accused of Hacking, because with calm, focused aiming, you can snipe across the map with SMC. devastatingly.

please don't mess with my gun.

This has been bugging me too, but i think its not the SMCs fault.

Buff AR instead, trading heat and damage for range implies higher long range output, having only 16 dps at long range is a joke.

That is a bit weird.

I love threads with actual numbers and graphs and charts and stuff. More, please.
