yeah, adding more random art and gameplay design ideas of varying quality into the mix is really what hawken needs :rolleyes:

Nobody said they should let us have everything the community designed. TF2 might be not the best example, but the community made content is consistent in it, because the devs have to accept them before they implement it.

Of course I have. If you hadn't noticed, I spend quite a bit of of time on the forums. Still wish we'd see some of erathic's UI ideas get implemented.

in fact, to be an objective of my work is not entirely linked with the Hawken design. They probably similar, but they are different.

if I was a developer, Hawken players probably would never see anything but variations of bullet weapons and explosive weapons. with different combinations and changes in numbers. for me - it's okay. you would never see the other maps except Prosk and Uptown with old broken machines (not those pathetic cars that we have now). and probably would never see the sun in the Hawken universe.

But I'm not a developer. Many players love sun. love current cars (actually, i doubt in this :lol:), love broken mechs like incinirator. and this is a difference, half players loves red colors, another half loves blue colors, but devs make a green colors, and find their unique players, who loves their own vision of game concept.

It was perfectly understandable.

And again, as I said they can filter the content by quality and only apply what they want to see. The hats in TF2 are not the best examples, but they accept great maps matching the unique style of the game.

You really are dumb or just trolling or not understand english...
We are talking here about helping developers creating the game, not just only ideas, we are talking about 3D models with proper info about them what it will be doing.
You do literally the same in 2D and text.
It not matter here what percent of guys how or will do something, the possibility and opportunity to create matters.
Devs can always take somebody work and modificate it, so it won't be that time consuming and a lemon will still be a lemon, just genetically modificated to be better and resistant.
If nothing will be a quality work, simple... it won't be added.

I would rather see the devs spend money and resources on actually improving the game and keeping it alive than on hiring a team to pick a few salvageable user-submitted ideas out of the sea of awful ones.

It worked for star citizen.
There ARE people that can make stuffs for hawken, for free.
