I personally consider the Flak more useful. They're both up there, but they both have pretty piss ranges.

The burstyness of the flak and lack of spinup makes it better for finishing people off and it's easier to aim because shotgun.

Your stats are also missing a lot of numbers. For example the EOC repeater does both explosive and direct hit damage but only one is listed. It also does a 3 shot volley instead of just hitting once.

Somebody who didn't delete their old .inis would be better suited to making a weapon chart.
I got those specs from ingame going through the mech shop XD. Obviously the heat cannon and EOC does more damage in their charged state, I just haven't gotten exacts yet XD

(ini's not touched since CBE1, can't find which one has the stats though XD)

I can get those numbers, but I need to sleep first. Spent the last 8 hours playing, and normally I would've been in bed 5-6 hours ago. :P

Is there any way to stock up on items in Siege/Missile Assault, without getting killed_

Currently, items don't regenerate, there's been discussion into this and the opinions divided towards not having them regenerate (last time i checked). You just gotta die for now, but IMO its more useful staying alive

Damage Values. Please note that for anything splash, the damage assumes a "perfect" splash - i.e; one where it basically detonated just inches from the center of the explosion without actually hitting them. Actual splash values will therefore likely be somewhat less in practice.

It's to compress the posts, not hide anything.

And I'd like the numbers for the abilities if you have the time DarkPulse. I assume you're getting these from the various .ini files right_

Oh, and you seem to have missed a number for the HEAT. Charged does a bit more damage with (I believe) slightly more heat. Should be something like loaded_cannonball or something.

I like to place my turrets in a spot that will camouflage them- not directly on the ground where they stand out, unless it's an emergency.  (this is particularly true in Sahara.)  IE: Right next to a building or a visually "noisy" area with lots of details, where it'll blend in.  During siege mode, I like placing them near the AA before the ships launch, while everyone else is busy gathering EU.

I also like putting my radar scanner/scrambler high on the scenery, out of sight.

I'd just like to also note how great it is that a topic like this exists, not just because it's helpful, but it means that the game is good enough to have depth and strategy that's worthy of discussion.  I'm wondering how much is planned_  IE tracking your TOW from the light it casts- that's such a clever idea, but was that the intent_  And if it wasn't, how awesome! Simple, effective elements creating complexity all on their own!

Awesome awesome.  I want to shower the developers with love.

Projectile speeds. Only applicable where there is an actual projectile being fired. I will list all weapons currently in the game for completeness' sake; anything that is instant hit will be labeled as "hitscan."

Ok, I'm back from exams and I've updated everything except DarkPulse's posts on weapons and EXP. I'm gonna compile them into a proper chart with the available details.

Also, here's some details regarding the Heat Cannon, this is from a discussion with DarkPulse. Basically, charged = more damage + more speed + more splash - rate of fire

Also, i think the charged Heat cannon does about 150 damage (fired at a wall point blank and tested my health), is a bit faster (fraps video analysis shooting at the same target), and has bigger splash damage compared to uncharged Heat Cannon.
Then that proves my values correct. I took a look in the files and found an entry that relates to the charged HEAT Cannon shot (HawkenGame.R_Proj_LoadedCannonBall).
  • Damage: 155
  • Damage Radius: 750 UU
  • Camera Shake Radius: 2400 UU
  • Projectile Speed: 20,000 UU
The uncharged shot, for reference:
  • Damage: 90
  • Damage Radius: 450 UU
  • Camera Shake Radius: 1600 UU
  • Projectile Speed: 10,000 UU
Obviously, the damage is for a direct hit. Since you shot it at a wall but didn't take a direct hit, it was slightly less - 150 or so.

Speed is indeed also faster, as I noted above.
