Gentlemen,
The name's Brave_Sir_Robin (BSR, Brave, or Robin to my "friends"), and I am an alcoholic.
(slow clapping from one individual in the back of the room)
Thank you. If you want, the TL;DR of this introduction, it is the following: puppies.
About Me:
I've been a member of the Hawken community since the days of Alpha testing. I became heavily invested in the game during closed beta, going as far as joining up with a clan (Black Steel Brotherhood or BSB) and contributing regularly on these forums. As part of the closed beta group, I think I helped bring a sort of "light-hearted" feel to the dark world of Hawken by cracking jokes and shouting "EMP!" whenever I deployed one in combat. I volunteered and participated in the first competitive clan tournament that came about (my team got crushed, but it was fun nonetheless) and I tried being a part of reoccuring events that happened throughout the week (i.e. the Cockpit broadcast, Fight Club, scrims, etc.). I even invested financially into the game with the Vanguard Initiative, mostly because I like Cupcakes.
When the game went to Open Beta, and eventually Steam, I slowly phased out of this world. Sure, it didn't help that my real life responsibilities of burning thatched-roof cottages got in the way of keeping my Mechs from getting rust, but that is how Life is sometimes. I kept in touch with some of my BSB buds, who let me know that this game was coming back with new devs and hopefully some new life.
Favorite/Most Played Mechs:
- Reaper
- Scout
- Vanguard Cupcake
- Medic (when needed)
Least Favorite Mechs:
- Insensitive individuals to other people's cultures and upbringings
Why Should You Vote For Me:
With my year(s) of experience, you can depend on my platform and me to get stuff done... and stuff. I will fight to make sure that I am represented fairly and justly.
Slogan:
"You can't spell 'slaughter' without 'laughter.'
----
See you fine people in-game and on the field.

Hello, I'm Ben, from Alaska, and used to be a PC Gamer back in the Day, original OG Gamer. (C64, Anyone?) I switched over to console gaming for stability purposes, and got tired of the endless tweaking and system compatibility issues of PC games. However, my buddy Jimmy dragged me back into PC gaming, and THIS GAME was what really started it all. Steam & SSDs really were the lure for me, but Hawken has been my meat & potatoes!
I'm not a HUGE anime fan, but I LOVE Patlabor, all 3 movies, and both series. it had a level-headed western feel, compared to the usual Japanese Cyber-mystic Mating with Androids and have demonic robo-drone offspring nonsense you USUALLY get with Anime. And, Hawken was the game that put me into a Labor. I even see a player, Keiichi Goto, Patlabor's incredible Captain Goto, 2nd section Labor division. This game... the physics, the graphics, the smooth, buttery movement.... For the first time in a long time, I've had SO MUCH FUN gaming!
Blew some $ on a custom PC, Silverstone ML07 case, (no bigger than an X-Box), 600W PSU, 4790K, EVGA 980 Classified, Toshiba 512G SSD, Mad Catz Rat MMO Mouse, (I HIGHLY reccomend a mouse with 3+ thumb buttons) Razer also has the Naga, a good mouse with 6 thumb buttons.) 55" Samsung 4K TV, and pump the sound through 400W Cerwin Vegas. Point is, I'm happy to sink $ into a game, when I see how well thought out, polished, and I'm determined to be an encouraging part of this great community, Work on my average Hawken pilot skills, get some good teammates... I'm spreading the word!

hello , i m UncleBlitz , i play since the alpha, i like to jump in my flying zerkers after long nights of heavy trucking and to play on US east servers because everyone is asleep in EU
...i like to ride bikes, to map with unreal engines and to build PCs ...time for a little pict to proove my love to hawken:
....but what i really want to add is that i have mixed feelings: very happy to see an input of life in our good old hawken but...also frustrated because i cant play since 3 month because a "account syncing error" ..... i m a little impatient to join the party....and noone seem to be able to help me....sadly +.+

Hey, the name's ShadowGTR. I've been with Hawken since CB2 (Closed Beta 2). In my history with Hawken, I've gotten to know quite a few people. I've also had the pleasure (misfortune? lol) of spawning the infamous Predobear (which later became an actual player's name) during a slow day on the IRC chat channel. I've also made some background art and nametags which were used by the awesome pilots over on the webshow "The Cockpit" (which hopefully will make a return! Check it out on Twitch if you haven't already). I even got to be on an episode as well! A real honor. :)
I took a short break from the game to catch up on other things. But now that the lights have been turned back on, and the tarps have been pulled off the AXEs, I am back and ready to darken the battlefield once more!
See you all on the battlefield!

What's up! My Hawken handle is Kopra, which is an old Finnish word for the hand.
I played a bit in Hawken's alpha, but didn't really start playing until summer of 2013. I fell in love with aesthetics of the game, the dark uneasy feeling of maps such as Origin and Uptown.
I play mostly on the EU servers, and my favorite mech is the EOC Raider.

Hiyall,
I'm FRX23, a 37 old guy from France.
I play Hawken since 12/2012 and it is still the game i play the most and i prefer.
I'm an average player on EU zone which play for fun before competition, but i also like to win
I use to play different mechs regarding the maps.
Long life to Hawken and its awesome community !
See you on the battlefield.

Let's try a proper introduction this time, ya? Now I could go off and explain my character in the game, but there's a thread for that, in it's appropriate place, and I recommend if you're interested in writing or creating that you start there. Get yourself into HAWKEN.
That being said, I'm the dude that's probably going to be on the forums far to often. I have more free time now than I'd like, and though I tend to fill that with vast quantities of side projects and work of my own, that doesn't mean I still don't find time to refresh the forums at least ten times per second.
I'm one of the many fan-fiction writers for HAWKEN, and spend most of my time in my Art and Media cave. Rarely do I find it necessary to leave the cave, as it has plenty of food, water, and... Uh... lava... Ya. I need that to survive.
--
Right, so first off; if you're new to HAWKEN, I welcome you warmly and am excited to see you've found us. It's always exciting to get new people, and even more so with the new updates. A very fortuitous time to be on Illal to say the least.
Reloaded Games, you are by far a welcome sight. I never would have anticipated two nights of no sleep prior to a test if it were not due to studying, and lo, there rises HAWKEN from the grave. To say the least, two nights without sleep, and am finally able to maybe not get stomped by people who just picked up the game. Super duper.
In all seriousness though, after a couple of hours of really digging into it, I'm really stoked that you're here. HAWKEN has needed something for a long time, and I think the writing done for the INN can attest to my excitement at it's purchase.
As a final note about me, I'm really interested in seeing the stories of HAWKEN written out, acted out, and maybe even parts of it put into the game itself. I'm weird, and out of the way, and have every reason to think that each player in this game has a spot in it's legend (Link to the same place, just a different post). Again, welcome to Illal, whether it's your return, or your first venture into the deadly world.

Hey guys!
I started playing Hawken I think back in the summer of '13 when a friend showed me the game, but I didn't play too much. Took a break and returned to the game after the Steam release and played pretty consistently until August of last year.
Came back last week when I heard that the game was alive, and I've been having fun playing with the Officially Unofficial Hawken TS guys!
See you in game!

Been playing for bout 2 years now and just wanted to say hello. I love hawken, its a nice medium pace game thats easy to get into. I'm on eastcoast and am open to any friend requests from people who play regularly. I have a few of the mechs but mainly play predator. I'm mostly in TDM but do occasionally play SEIGE, DM, and CO-OP BOTS. I'm usually on around 10am for a couple hours and the evenings around 6 to 11pm, sometimes later than that. Anyway there you go ! See you on the battlefield...

. Was happy not to have to log into Steam just to play a game and have it running in the background all the time.
just create a desktop and/or menu link to the HawkenGame-Win32-Shipping.exe in your Steam folder. voila. no steam in the background!
I take it you responded within the quote? Thanks but, I'll just run with it like it is. I may decide to do that later, though. Thanks.

Ayyyy Tiggs....
Good to see you managing this forums as well as the (Somewhat chaotic APB forums).
I do really hope that none of those awful crap that happened in that place ever got infected here...
Anyways. introductions,
I used to play somewhat large amounts of Hawken when it came out (I think I am in the Beta as well ... I forgot) and somehow got bored of it after 1 year... I mean no updates and things... it is natural. and got back to it for a while after the UI update and then go again (since there is no updates again...) I am both somewhat stoked and scared with RP taking over Hawken both due to new content, since the somewhat bad experience in APB. Anyways. yes, hopefully I will actually get my foot down in this game once and for all and actually try to take is a bit more seriously than I used to.
As my Sig suggest, I mostly use the bruiser, since volume of fire trumps accuracy... hehe...
"Is it me, or the forum here feels, more friendlier than said... APB"
Yes, I mainly play APB, I also enjoy Hawken time to time.

I like cats.
I'm sure a few of you who have stuck around will recognize me, but here's an intro for those who don't know me.
Trans-girl with Asperger's that played since the Alpha and stopped nearly a year ago. I'm mostly just here to observe the changes that these new devs will bring. Been playing Reflex (essentially an updated Quake 3 + map editor), Evolve, Portal 2, Smite, StarMade, and Minecraft since I stopped playing Hawken.
I like to make videos, mod games, and create art whether it be music, level design, or spriting. I've also set up a livestream on Hitbox, with a cam and everything in the hopes of maybe working through some anxiety problems. If Hawken starts to improve, I may feature the game as a regular stream.
Dreams/Hopes right now would be:
-Overcoming clinical depression and gender dysphoria. I've been put on anti-depressants as of today, and I'm hoping to see a positive change.
-Figure out how social interaction works, both online and in person.
-Perfect makeup skills, learn how fashion works, and just generally pass as a normal female.
-Kick out my parasitic roommate who doesn't pay rent.
-Find a solid BDSM partner
I think that about sums it up, well enough for a small amount of text anyway. I might just copy this into the "about me" profile section.
If anyone is looking for a friend to game with, you can always add me on Steam
EDIT: By the way, is username changing an option right now?

Headpointernext here. Computer science people might recognize where that came from, and it's too long and technical a story for non-computer people to understand. It's ok. I've been playing Hawken for maybe a year now; not so active in the forums but I've been lurking like that shy Predator who just wants to sit in the shadows creepily looking at waaaaaiiiitttt...
On a serious note: it's good Hawken got a decent shot in the arm - it's a solid game, despite all the fuzzy bunny griefers and the charlie-foxtrot that happened during H2 of 2014. From the land of high ping where burst is king, I salute thee all with an ass-ripping, bite-the-pillow-I'm-going-in-dry double shotgun blast from my Raider (srsly, a solid hit from a burst MIRV+charged T32 = A class at 25% health. Damn thing is high-risk-high-reward yo). See you in the field boys and girls.

Helsinki Finland. Been around 161212... at first it was unconditional and unhealthy, body-/soul consuming love to this game.
Then it has developed to a state I love to hate/ hate to love this game.
Not playing too much anymore
After Tech patch I went for a while with an account UCC0 and some other accounts too, but this luopio, finnish word that freely translates to a renegade, has since been/will be in hiatus from battlefields...

Hello. I'm Scow2.
I got into the game about a year ago, well after the initial Steam release. I had remembered hearing about it years ago, as "A mech game where you stomp around in giant trashcan-like mechs" over on some gaming site or another, and I decided to look up its progress since I hadn't heard about it in over two years and had a real itching for a mech game.
I started it up, and had a lot of fun even in my starting, naked Recruit (I was scared to try the Test Drive vehicles, because I wasn't sure of the concept). I really, really sucked, but had fun with it anyway. Of course... I abandoned it in favor of a Brawler ASAP, which i sucked with until I got the SA Hawkins, then I only sucked a little less with it (I cannot get the Flak Cannon to work! for me)
I still suck at the game, and strictly play TDM because it's fast, fun, and I don't care if I win or lose. I almost always make up the plurality of deaths on my team, though I usually get a lot of Kills or Assists to make up for it. I play at 15-20 FPS, and 120-300+ Ping. Sometimes, my Ping spikes to almost 1000, and I start bitching about it. Stupid backwater internet connection.
I have four mechs now: A level 5 Brawler, usually running with an SA Hawkins or Point-D Vulcan, a level 5 Assault (I AM THE LAW!), The recruit I managed to grind to level 5 just to unlock the elite skins, and I'm now working on my Berzerker, currently level 3.

Lots of familiar names here, though I play on weekends odd timezone so it's a different crowd.
I try to play all mechs so there's no mecha left behind. Bots got feelingz. But I prefer all the high ping mechs. Don't mind me when I teleport or disconnect randomly. Working to unlock my last mech g2 asu.
I'm a quiet gopher, average mmr, shoot kinda blindly, & can walk backwards. My attention span can be limited, usually multitasking & 1/x is Hawken, I might be staring at the Siege ship like it's the second coming of Groundhog Day. Working toward 2 years of piloting, improved a bit, and despite low kd, I get high assists since I shoot everything as support mechs.
I'm not a HUGE anime fan, but I LOVE Patlabor
lol can I also say im no huge anime fan? I like the designs from Patlabor (new TV series out?), tachikoma/GITS (seen one film), some classic Gundams, but mostly only watched anime in the recent years (old series have prolonged stories that don't fit in my attention span...). Older mechas I liked: astroboy, Mazinger, Macross, Star Driver, Eureka 7, transformers, Gurren Lagann, & I forgot the plot in EVA.
Recent shows: Tiger & Bunny (treating exosuits as mechs?), also Berserker from Fate/Zero flaming red/black armor is amazing in combat (it's not a mech), Gargantia, Valrave, Gatchaman, Arpeggio (ships are mechs cuz transformers), Gundam Build Fighters/Try, etc.

Been following hawken for a long time but didnt start playing until steam release. I dont rage quit, like to play the underdog, and have a tendancy to rambo with class A mechs.

Hey everyone, I'm a huge mecha nerd who initially tried joining the game back during beta but barely ever played because of time-consuming studies. It slipped from my memory because I have the recall of a goldfish sometimes, then I came back a couple of weeks ago after seeing the Hawken segment of the Two Best Friends Play Mechaweek video.
As far as gameplay goes I favour a gritty and up close approach, often playing Berserker (with Point D Vulcan of course) or Recruit depending on my mood. I also have the assault (thanks for the mech, reloaded games!) but I haven't tried it out yet, and a Reaper which I am currently in the process of ranking up to match my other mechs.
I'm planning on acquiring in no particular order a Brawler, an Assault G2 and a Rocketeer.
My usual gamemodes are Team Deathmatch principally and Siege/Missile Assault when I'm feeling brave (I seem to have terrible luck at those 2, I barely ever win a game no matter how good I do).
I don't really have a set schedule for playing I just jump in when I'm in the mood. I usually just play a couple of games for 30-45 minutes then leave to come back several hours later.
About myself: I study biochemistry, I like zoos and museums, and I'm a big fan of science fiction (mecha and robots in particular) and fantasy (anything to do with knights, really). I can spend hours talking about Gundam, Gurren Lagann, Pacific Rim, Godzilla, Dark Souls, Dune, Warhammer, and Real Time Stragegy video games (my fave games ever are Supreme Commander and Sins Of A Solar Empire. Not exactly the same bracket as Hawken, but I still love this game.)
I preordered Hawken Genesis last night, amazon said it'd be delivered by friday so fingers crossed.
Go read and edit the hawken wiki you fuzzy bunnies.

Hi, my name is Isaac, my call-sign is ishumshark. I tried Hawken a year or two ago on an old laptop that couldn't handle it, so gameplay was frustrating I didn't touch it until last month, and since I had a new laptop, the wonders of Illal were opened to me. I don't have too many hours, but that is because I am a busy student, with many many extracurricular activities. I have since become addicted to Hawken, playing it every chance I have. I purchased my first new mech, the Predator. It is hard to play at times, but I think it is still worth it, because the only way I can get better is by losing a lot and learning. I'm saving my credits and working to maximize my mech's efficiency and effectiveness.
I rejoined Hawken a day after it had been acquired by reloaded games. I was quite pleasantly surprised. I looked up articles on what happened, how Meteor Entertainment had sold Hawken, and then I looked into reloaded games. I have enjoyed the updates and bug fixes (password reset primarily) And have also enjoyed the general amiability of the devs. I've watched livestreams and videos, trying to figure out where the game is going.
Overall, I'm happy to know that Hawken is staying for good, and I get the privilege to play and interact with such an awesome community. Thanks Guys!

I was stranded. Like everyone was. Most of us were dead or missing. Communications were gone, all but the basic equipment was ded. I had been marching alone for months... I think it's almost a year now. It had been so long since the last humane encounter, I would have given my bad leg for some company. There is a limit how long you can call blowing up a few Sentium dogs communication. Although what I reconed, they were just as lost as we were. I had already turned all communication equipment off to preserve those little resources I had left. Of course i came back from time to time.
The silence made me angry at first. Then there was desperation. The intervals became longer as time passed and then I stopped turning the radio on at all. It just made me sad.
Then the day came. I was just killing time in my cockpit and after all other means were exhausted I did it. I turned the radio on.
There was voices on it.
Oh the joy, hearing that there were others out there, forces gathering.
There would be war, once more.
See you on the battle field pilots, Pelanthoris singning of.
