Announcing TPGs first Co-op Bot Destruction speed-run competition!
Why co-op bot destruction?
- Region agnostic! Bots ping 0 to every server.
- New player friendly! If you share a server with top ranked players, they are guaranteed to be on your team. You can even do it alone.
- Easy scheduling! Just get 1 to 4 players together. Easy as playing berzerker!
Objective:
Complete all 25 waves of Co-op Bot Destruction as fast as possible on Frontline. (Facility will be done at a later date).
Rules:
You may use any combination of mechs, weapons, items, internals, and mutators (that is, the mutators available for voting at the beginning of the match, not private server mods) to complete a run. You may complete the run with any number of players, but only players who are present for the entire run are eligible to receive a reward for that run.
Exploiting bugs in the game to complete a run is accepted and encouraged. If you use a bug to improve your time, please include a description of the bug and how to replicate it in your submission.
Using external programs such as aimbots or scripts to cheat in any way will result in disqualification of the run and shame upon your family. Violating Hawkens terms of service in any way will result in disqualification of the run. Incomplete or falsified submissions will not be accepted.
No private server modifiers may be used.
The run time will be the time as it is shown on the end of match scoreboard. You must complete all 25 waves for the entry to be valid.
How to enter:
Post in the submission thread using the following format:
Submission videos must adhere to the following:
- Must be unedited, though you may cut some footage before and after the run as long as the next requirement is met.
- Must include the entire run from connection to the server until the end-of-match carousel.
- All player names, the scoreboard, the times, and end-of-match must be included and legible
- Videos should be uploaded to youtube and set to public.
Any resolution or frame rate may be used as long as the aforementioned requirements are met. Submissions with any missing information or evidence of tampering are subject to disqualification. A tutorial for recording can be found here. Note again that the scoreboard must be legible for the entry to be valid.
Only one player needs to submit footage to verify the time if a public server is used. If a private server is used, all players' recordings must be included in the submission. Each player must record and retain footage until 23:59 (central time) on March 27 for use in the event of a dispute.
You may submit as many times as you wish. Players may participate in an unlimited number of different runs and teams. If a new submission supersedes an old one (that is, same team, better time), simply edit the original submission post and notify a tournament administrator (that's just me right now).
Submissions are open in the submission thread, and will close on Saturday, March 26 at 23:59 Central Time (GMT - 6).
Prizes:
Prizes TBD. At minimum there will be something for best run and a raffle for all players that are part of a valid entry. Dont be afraid to post a run even if you cant beat the top time: you will still be eligible for the raffle prizes! Players that receive a prize for best run are not eligible for the raffle. There will be one raffle entry per participant regardless of how many runs the player participated in.
A separate submission thread is here. Do not post submissions in this thread.
UPDATE:
Raffle prizes will be:
- Airport Simulator 2014
- Towtruck Simulator 2015
- Mining & Tunneling Simulator
- Warehouse and Logistics Simulator with Hell's Warehouse DLC
