Honestly, the only way we can tell for real if the game is unbalanced now is to actually play the new version in its entirety.  My hopes for glory as of right now are this  big,  but hopefully, all of the doom-and-gloom that is happening is wrong.

Lots and lots of interesting stuff if you pause the video at 1:08.  Maybe some keener eyes than mine can find more than I found.  But at the very least, it looks to me like G2 has a completely different meaning in this new version than what we know it as.  Also, G2 raider is a B class?

 

Obviously we don't know if this is a final build, or if what we currently know as G2 Raider exists under a totally different name.  I would think it does in some capacity.  Would seem very odd if they removed content.  Or at least, they would just hold it back, and release it in one of the first content updates.

 

But after seeing this, and even just taking it for what it is and not passing judgement on whether it will work, or if its balanced... how the hell do they actually plan to migrate our existing accounts to fit into this new framework?

Noticed Tech & Incinerator still exist. Interesting to see if / how they rebalanced them for console play. Also a G2 Rocketeer, still C-class.

When he chooses that G2 Assault... damn, that thing really seems to pack a wallop and hardly takes any damage.  He's standing face to face with a C-Class in turret mode, several times, and barely takes a hint of damage, but wastes the darn thing... and like 5 others in a row.  Dat didn't look balanced.

 

• G2 Assault looks just like normal Assault, but with dual Vulcans.
• G2 Raider seems to look like a regular Raider.
• The mech shown at the end of the game looks mostly like a Vanguard... but something seems different about it.
• Saw no evidence of any kind of text chat system (it is just a demo)
• WTF weapons are that purple C-RT sporting that is hanging out with him at around 2:30?  It's a KE Sabot and a Hawkins, really?

And... that looks like the same demo station as in the other video, where there is just one single Xbox One set up for Hawken.  Just like the first video, I wondered, "Who are all these other players online with him?" and  "why are these newbies with painfully obvious skill deficits able to literally walk all over the competition?"  I literally wonder if maybe the E3 demo isn't rigged to give the player a huge reduction in the amount of damage taken, so that they have a better, more powerful first experience with the game?  And I wonder, are all those really crummy extra players they're facing really ReLoaded employees who are supposed to let the person playing the demo win?

 

One thing is for sure, folks like us, who have been playing this a long time... and go buy the console version... are going to really humiliate the newbies.  And probably for a long time too.

I also notice that there is little to no aim assist, and the G2A has the correct amount of health.

 

Graphics wise the menu is scaled in a manner that suggests 720p, and the graphics settings appear to be typical "high" or "ultra" settings with default FOV. It is hard to tell, but I don't think film grain in on. No Physx or similar effects are visible.

I noticed that too.  He's definitely aiming with that G2 Reaper exactly like you'd expect a player using a controller would aim.

Glad you thought so too.  Thats what I saw, but thought maybe I was missing something.

Looks like they might've separated singular weapon combos into their own "mechs" and just slapped "G2," "G3," etc. on them.

i had hoped hawken keeps its fun feel after so much work went into getting it where its at but if it gets ruined without mod support or ability to roll back to a favored version then ill give it a try out of respect to the devs but i've been wanting to focus a new game perhaps arma 3+its mods

I love how all this information is readily available at E3 but for some reason we can't anything in the way of answers about what is happening with Hawken, the new builds, and what we should expect.

 

Guess this is final confirmation that Reloaded doesn't overly care about us, our thoughts, or generally where things are heading in regards to us.

 

This isn't NDA territory anymore, this build is live and being showcased at E3 quite actively yet we know jack squat about the new build, changes, mechs, or even what the future holds for the PC platform.

 

Call me crazy but the longer this week goes on the more annoyed I'm getting because it is now Friday, we got a mediocre update explaining the silence and how unimportant the PC version has been from the start, and we still have little to no information about what is going on other than the consoles are getting all the love and any hope we have of seeing this update get to the PC comes from the console version being successful.

 

I've been pretty damn patient throughout every silence and how long Hawken has been stuck in limbo but now I'm running out of patience because information is out there, a playable build exists on consoles being showcased, and we've got nothing for information having to reduce ourselves to mass speculation based off screen grabs and unofficial footage uploaded to Youtube.

 

Anytime you want to start showing the community some good will beyond why we're not important would be awesome Reloaded Games, Lady Tiggs, or Cap N' Josh. How long do we have to stay out in the dark and cold before you either tell us we've wasted our time and to move the hell on or tell us exactly what is going on with the game we've supported since it released in 2012.

 

The speculation and unknown nonsense is old. Give us actual answers already because none of this is looking good or promising from where I'm sitting based on past updates. Looks like we're repeating all the same mistakes again and once more could have easily avoided this if the massive resource that is the community was properly utilized. Course I might be completely wrong but how would we know cause Reloaded isn't telling us anything while showcasing this build at E3 that anyone can walk up and play...

 

Yea I'm getting sick of this and growing salty. 

 

Also if an account wipe happens I'm done. I've got more MC than I can shake a stick at, even more HC, a ton of EXP, all my mechs setup the way I want, and I'm not about to start over cause Reloaded decided to move the game over to consoles and blew off the original community.

Maybe they could at least confirm/deny that what we see in the demos is simply a "DEMO BUILD" that could change before launch.  Maybe they weren't completely finished in time for E3 and went with what they had?

That is beyond pathetic if you ask me. Replied to that as well, hopefully they are aware of how displeased everyone is and we'll get some idea of what the hell is going on beyond console development.

 

I'm not holding out hope though that Reloaded is gonna clue us in. If the past year has taught us anything it's that they don't care about communicating with us much if at all.
