I mean, I love the game and all, but I'm still waiting for the new mechs/internals. I want to pick up the Nief to pair with Bruiser and Rocketeer.

It'll probably be a few months, but no exact date has been provided as of now. Plans change all the time, and the developers' plans are subject to change from now until the actual relaunch.

In theory, I'd argue that "you're just not using it well."

 

Before Adhesive went off and crapped all over the Rocketeer with their "we're going to work on the Rocketeer's balance by starting with a huge nerf to the tracking and speed of both the Seekers and the Missiles, then, we're going to build them both back up until we find the level at which they are ideally balanced."... then made the first change (to severely nerf them) and never touched it again... the Rocketeer was something I had become really competitive with and could make almost as good a showing up close and at medium range as I could at long.  Now... it is just sad.

 

If ReLoaded could get back into the Rocketeer and bring the tracking speed and travel speed of both the Seekers and Missiles up a bit, then do some work to increase the splash damage of dumb-fired missiles... the Rocketeer could, once again, find it's home as a respectable mech.

Respectable? Is that why they use two, every time I'm on Bunker? Sure, it's not much of a frontline mech, but two Rocketeers work great in tandem, covering most play out in the open on an individual, and covers the supression role well enough to allow another player to swoop in.

 

I would say make server performance a priority first before even considering buffing Rocketeer. It most certainly works fine on console, considering sometimes you can hardly see them, much less predict when they are actually going to land, at times. My gut says people rely on Rocketeer as a crutch to win games primarily due to server performance; it appears Rocketeer doesn't get pulled out nearly as often when servers are running great, which is.....5% of the time.

i'm personally for "old" rocketeer from starting in 2012. two primary weapons (EOK as Default, Heat as alternative, no any seeker), HF with slow speed but with higher damage, and slower reloading time (if compare with TOW, GL). that's my dream.

Woah, slow down with the shade there. I like the homing series of robots, but I live inside a Berserker. Geez.

but seriously, 3-4 of the worst mechs in the game right there... get a raider or something.... go pro, its worth it

With my ping poor in out of region matches, it is a workable option to pull a Rocketard and harass the other team with it.
Its a better option than feeding the other team.

I wish I'd gotten to play it before the nerf. I hope they dial in the hellfires a bit better and change the turret mode to a more active ability like on PC Grenadier.
eg: Hellfire lockon time halved and dumbfire spash increased for 6 sec. 30 sec cooldown, etc.

I just wish we had more Oceanic matches running that aren't 1300 rated and before kiddy bedtime.

I don't use the Zerker as a spacebar jocket. Every time you boost towards a target, that wastes spinup time, and especially in BB, those 8 seconds have to count to the max against Heavy bots. I play it like a lighter Assault built quick in and outs.
