I have a question. c05, you say:
does it mean, that you return a "smoke-trail" effect from 2012 hawken?
to be honest i don't know how this effect called, but u understand me, these cool smokes when you shot from AR, SMC and other guns. it was a very cool stuff before...i don't know why previous devs delete it from game with ascension patch (T_T)

Kudos! This restarts the hype train (or at least it speeds it up a bit).

Well 5760x1080 already sorta works, its just not very clean.
Thanks, but I'm already well aware of how annoyingly close, but yet so far away from how unbelievably awesome it should be.
Was holding out hope that all the UI work they did included the algebra needed to fix the cockpit issues.

I actually want to fix this issue personally as I have a 3440x1440 ultrawide. It bugs me more than it should.

After the update, will you be doing anything to try and address low player count? While I do think the update will bring back older players, what about new players?
I feel that this is also important, seeing as how the Oceanic server is more dead compared to other servers

We are hoping the update in itself will breathe life into the game. When the time is right, we will be ramping up efforts to promote the game.

Server performance seems better. It appeared butter-smooth for my first match. Still have issue with shots going through targets, but that's always been the norm.
The deadzone slider is a much appreciated option, but it's bittersweet for two reasons: Both deadzones are tied to it which means if you set it too low you'll definitely be walking in some direction, and fine movements are hard to track consistently, even at 60 fps (that framerate lag!). I found it more difficult to land mag shots on the ord when at a 5 setting.
Not completely sure atm, but either I wasn't getting healed by a tech at all, or I was getting healed until I took self damage from an eoc puck, and has not changed over the course of the matches I played, but coincidentally, it was the same person.
Not really a big fan of the third person view per pre-match startup.

I like the fact that you have listened about at least one problem people had with the UI. The colour change is a massive difference for the better, But I still see a major problem IMHO in the screenshots.
The whole scale/size of the text and buttons is way too large for PC.
The Problem I have (and many others) with all the games that have the UI ported from console (not sure if this is the case with Hawken), is the fact that the UI elements: fonts, buttons etc, are always way too big for a PC monitor.
The difference is that console players usually sit further away from a TV screen whereas a PC player sits much closer and the resolution is 'usually' much clearer than a TV.
For an example, look at Fallout 3, this particular screenshot is of the in-game HUD but you will get the idea of what I mean in relation to the Menu's in Hawken:

Hehe and i reinstalled hawken like two days ago. So for vets it's leaderboards to brag and all the console mechs to tryout. I hope you have map ready for first week dlc :)

so i assume the game will have new engine like UE4 and DX 11 ( i don't like DX12 ,because still it's not well optimized ) ? are we going to have proper optimize game ? say like stable FPS no stutter or others video option settings that can give us solid game play ? thanks

Everything sounds good, except for one thing: I'm still not that fond of the G2 system :/
Amazing that you actually planned it about right, by the way. Usually things planned for about a year ahead of time aren't on time.

It's gonna be UE3.5 and DX11 AFAIK, UE4 is too hard to implement.

Glad to see the game's starting to kick into high gear again.
But am I the only one who thinks the old (PC only) UI looks far better and is more fitting of the style of game than this new one is?
I do vastly prefer the old UI — It's like you're operating an in-universe screen. It's got a grittier and more mech-techy feel to it (especially with that grid overlay that has the faux-HUD animated effects), which is what the style does well. The console UIs feel more generic and IMO doesn't do much justice to the game's immersion capabilities. Hawken's got a setting and aesthetic that really makes the game feel unique and gives it some charm. That should be very noticeable from the get go.
That being said, the new UI isn't bad. I just think it could benefit from being more . . . Hawken. The main menu is where new players are going to make their first impressions, after all.

OK I personally do like the look of the new ui. I'll make a final decision when it is in my face of course. Some things look great on paper but in practice fail. I do wonder C5, are we finally getting out the directx 9 hole and moving on to 10 or 11? Can we still select servers without the auto I'm putting you where I want to? Is the balance program being readjusted for lower sub base or changed or still stuck with the old not working model? Not asking for HOW the new system for detecting and removing those who use hacks or is it still planned to be online when the servers open with the new build? Thanks and take care.
**EDIT** Oh yeah and are we finally going to be able to take advantage of our 144hz monitors? Would be nice.

So I saw the Gedes momentarily after getting the update, 1000 HP on a Hellfire/Seeker mech- with turret mode giving a tracking buff- is what I saw. Please tell me this isn't the finalized version of it
No, that's not the final version. It was added by accident and anyone who had purchased it had it removed and refunded.
