Nice try, Reloaded. A new map still isn't enough to get me to play Siege.
Hopefully it won't be exclusively siege

Map's designed for Siege can be turned into TDM easily enough. MA is more problematic and DM is usually OK, aside from sheer size issues.

As amazing as a destructible map would be, I don't even think Nepa could make a config to run it on my craptop
It sounds like a request ^^
but i don't think destructive maps will appear sooner or later, there is a lot of thing to do in term of optimization with the engine before ( and think about the console version :p )

It's TDM in a really small box.

No, TDM is a castrated Siege ;D
* But seriously, Having to juggle Objective AND kills is what makes it interesting
TDM is too one dimensional
Wait? You have to handle killing other mechs AND understanding the objective? Oh no that is far too complex.

Yeah, juggling Objectives and kills is why the Competitive Hawken scene chose Missile Assault over Siege after a tumultuous TDM phase, because the other two were too focused on the TDM aspect of the game.

MA is fun, but I really think it mistakenly over favors early movers.
Once a deficit is in place, the losing team REALLY has to hold all silos to comeback.
In Siege, A few good plays can fully turn around a game, which makes it more fun to me
I see a lot of TDMers really racking up the kills in Siege, but in the wrong place and time and often losing (I'm lookin at you, NepR ;)
I think the mode would be much better with double the number of silos, or silos doing slightly less damage to a base per shot

Words
Siege is TDM with breaks in between. That's it. That's all it is. You cannot reduce it lower than that or pile on strategies that will ever overcome that part of it. MA at least allows you to mitigate the DMing and attempt to outrace the enemy team on points in the ringaround. In Siege, if you play the mode properly, which, spoiler, everyone does at higher levels, you get to play TDM in a tiny little box.
Because no matter what you do, no matter how many guns or engines you take out, no matter how much EU deliver, at the end of the day, control of the AA wins the game.
And the AA lives in a tiny box you need to fight the other team over.

MA is simply more resilient to catastrophic losses. Needing to hold multiple points simultaneously forces you to spread out at least a little, which allows a concerted push to take some silos at least for a little bit. Dispersing the defenders makes it very hard to have a flawless or nearly flawless victory.
The team that is better at killing mechs will still win, it just isn't as oppressive and disheartening to play on the losing end.
Siege is just MA with one silo at a time.

Siege is just MA with one silo at a time.
The resilience to Catastrophic losses, is what makes MA less fun and exciting to play.
Once a certain amount of lead is in place, All the currently winning team has to do is Sit on a single silo, giving too much of a defensive bonus to that team.
That's exactly the opposite of what you'd want to happen.
If there were a 2 turret bonus that was larger, that might make up for it.
Games are too often decided early, with no way to recover.
And sitting in a room for 6 minutes with little no zero chance of a comeback is just not a good way to spend free time...
I suspect more silos might help or some sort of multiplier for 2 silos instead of 3 or less dmg per launch would help this
* I seriously don't understand your stated reasoning against Siege
*

False. This will lose the team the game unless the enemy team is below 140~ points while the winning team has twice that or 287~ to be safe at the point the winning team goes to 1 silo for the remainder of the game.

"Spherical cows in a frictionless vacuum" have thus far been a sufficiently accurate model for all empirical data, and there has been a LOT of empirical data. Both mathematically and in practice you must maintain two or more silos for more time than the enemy in order to win the game. My experience with it is that the "hold this one silo till we win strat" pretty much only happens in tight games with very low health on the bases.

in config i see a command, which allow you made a number of pieces, if you make it =0, game don't create a "rocks" falling from walls, it is mean you just instantly create a hole in wall without "rock" effects.
i also don't think that RLD making destructible environment, they just put in game this map, not APEX from UE3. and i'm not sure 100% that this is "highway", but for me it look like very very similar with Hestoned screenshoot.

imo
1) ship should be indestructible.
2) it's predictable, base should have 3 HP, and if you can't break ship, ship deal 1 damage to base. it is mean you can lose 1/3 first, but than win 1/0 (if can capture AA and doing this right).
3) base turrets should deal 999 damage from shoot.

With siege and people sitting on the AA the could randomize the location off it among the different silo locations. It would then at least be a race to defend
And where would the EU trees go? They currently replace 2/3 silo locations.
