How do you use Game Chat on the PS4

 

In the top left corner occasionally i'll see text 

some said nice shot and it showed my username

Are you saying that there are bots in co-op deathmatch? I don't think it was a bot. Why is there a game chat if we can't chat?

all bots have elite-language nicknames like KD-CAV3R, PI-3.14, CG-133578 etc, (the same logic XX-XXXXX). if you pick "Coop TDM" - you always play with bots (more correct - people vs bots), "TDM" - with people (pvp).

If you attach a USB keyboard to your PS4, I would be willing to bet that pressing F5 would bring up the Hawken console. Then you just type "Say" and whatever you want afterwards.

 

Example:

*presses F5 key*

 

Say gg scrubs

There are other console commands as well. The new update displays everything; even commands not accessible to normal users. I've tinkered with some of them, as well as commands I've known about previously shown to me from another user that aren't visible.
