We now have a new Director to those who don't know yet. Killer_Origins has stepped up to the role and is doing some really good work. We now have a deadline and the first trailer should be out by this month.

i'm sad i can't do anything to help you guys (mainly because i have a schedual that changes at the speed of Shia Labeouf) but i just want to say that what you guys are doing is great!   things like this will only help expand and promote hawken, so keep up the good work

If u need a professional match-moving artist for doing 2d-tracks, 3d camera solves, lens reconstruction and geometry setting, i have 6 years of experience outsourcing on Hollywood movies and the company where i work for just got a Disney/Marvel/Lucas Licence (u have to have a lotta experience and to have things set up the way they demand them to be. That means we're uber-top tier in what we do). I can reconstruct camera movement and lens parameters on any type of footage, and can set up a Maya 3d scene and give UV maps to the Animators and the Composite artists. I'm also a animator, graduated 7 years ago, i focus mainly on 2d animations, if there are riggers and modelers in the community who can prime the rig for animation i can be used.

Just want to let everyone know that this is by no means a dead project! Discussion is still ongoing, and as we are trying to make the highest quality product we can, it is taking some time. Just some reassurance, look at how many posts we have in the Steam discussion for our current project:

 

As our team is spread all over the world (we have members in India, the UK, the US, etc.), it can be difficult to bring everything together in a timely fashion. Just wanted to let you guys know, just in case anyone was wondering. :)

Anyway the point of the project is to create a promotional video for each of the mechs. The videos should show off the aspects of each mech. Each video will be in the style between a frag movie and the old mech mechanics videos.

The script is going good. Once it's done in a week or so, shooting will begin and all will be well. Hopefully. This is thing is still going strong!

 

We need more people to act and voice act. Apply at the steam group or contact Rainbow or Killer.

As the lead script writer, I've no idea.  I did some talking with our fantabulous director and he said he's been a bit busy lately.  He's got much on his plate.  He and Rainbow will probably come up with some date once all that busy stuff is done with. Until, then we should probably go over the script to catch more mistakes or just try to think and see how we're going to film this thing correctly so it will go as smoothly as possible.

I don't believe so, this is a community driven project.  We can always use more body actors. :P  Hit me up with a PM with your email and I'll link you to the google drive.  As of now we are approaching near the final moments of polishing the script.  We've got much done with prototype test footage, script, and a few other things.  However, there is still much more to be done once the script is over.  The film and directing teams will be taking over after us script writers are done with the finishing touches on the script.
