I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the Hawken Mech Mods! These are the moderators you love to hate, but they're players just like you. They won't tell you who they are in game, but it's time you get to know them a bit further.  They're a great group of gals and guys and maybe by getting to know them you'll see that and have a little less hatred towards them.  You'll see them jumping into conversations a bit more and also starting their own threads. 

 

So Mech Mod members, let's hear it. Tell us about yourselves, what games you play, and anything else you'd like to share.

I like a lot of Japanese stuff. and lots of food. I literally eat like Kirstey Alley with a tape worm. basically have cute agression, have to punch something and start crying when I see cute stuff. get at me

Seven dropping in to rain on your parade. 

 

I play games of all types, with a special place in my heart for mech shooters, what started with MechWarrior is now taken up by HAWKEN, I'm still trying to get used to the controller scheme on PS4 as i'm mostly a PC guy. I also stay busy on pretty much every Blizzard title. Mercy im Bereitschaftsdienst! 

 

I'm glad to be here and support the community around a game that I truly enjoy. Behind the keys I study IT, build computers, discuss firearms and technology and play fetch with my Corgi.

I�m mid-late 20�s nerd, I most of the time I just chill at home either playing video games or watching stuff online.

My Favorite games are the Uncharted series,  Mass Effect, Pokemon and occasionally I get sucked into the time sink that is The Sims 

Other than that I enjoy camping with friends, cooking and do some crafting on the side.

So how many of you are community members that took the closed-interview, government ID-required NDA offer?

Because last I checked there were 4 of you, taking infrequent action at best and Reloaded hasn't put out a call for mods through official channels. 9 must be recent, as a 48 hour turn around on in-good-faith reports strikes me as... indicative of a staffing shortage.

Of course, you could be mods from the other communities. But the less said about that the better.

*Edit* I should also add that someone sneakily went back and revised the assigned points to five (5) several days later.  But don't worry! They kept the perma ban threat!

That's the thing about a closed system though: respect is not needed.

You'll note Reloaded does not engage in social media that they cannot exert the majority of control in. Facebook, Twitter, and these forums. They would be eviscerated on Reddit and, I shudder to state it, the Steam forums.

That's getting of on the wrong presumption, really.

How could we honestly hate them when they are faceless and not in any way integrated in our community.

 

And very unlikely to ever be.

 

What is the point of taking this this thread and introducing forum mods of a community that precedes them all by many years, who will remain faceless.

There isn't one. It's absurd.

 

It's obvious they can't and don't hang in this game.

Already just by the content of their self descriptions (that would otherwise endear and familiarize them with us) will not be able to play this game competently.

So that seems like a wasted gesture all by itself.

To some more than others. But certainly to me.

Nobody in hawken wants to see you boogering up community hawken forums if you don't play hawken.

You don't see me going to your job and slapping the *** out of your ****, and all that.

 

I'm basically just trying to illustrate that this thread or any effort to to make them familiar is impossibly meaningless in any way that can be measured.

 

For the record nobody cares what someone has to say about who they are and what their likes and dislikes are, if they are never actually identified.

That's how identity works.

That said impersonating an RLD employee is against the TOS I think so they can reasonably ban those accounts on sight.
