So, as we all know turret mode is almost always worthless, as it just makes you a fat target fr Sabots, TOWs, and Grenades. On the Rocketeer model, the big shield arms have 4 square boxes, 2 on each "arm". This have a close resemblance to box-style missile launchers. What I am proposing is removing the Rocketeer's turret mode, and giving it a new ability, called the "Cluster Missile". How this will work is that pressing F once will fire a missile that has a travel speed of the TOW. There will be a 2 second cooldown between firing off missiles, however, after firing 4 missiles, there is a cooldown of 40 (can be adjusted based on feedback) seconds. On direct impact, it deals 50 damage. When it hits something, the missile will explode and create a persisting ball of mini explosions, that deal 425 (can be adjusted based on feedback) damage over the span of 8 seconds, a little more than 50 DMG per second. The radius of this ball should be about the size of a shield. This will make the Rocketeer more of the suppression mech it was meant to be. What do you guys think?

Interesting. Values would need to be adjusted of course but this might just work

If the pilot is using a seeker, upon pressing F the rocketeer will implode and a "Robo nono" holo taunt will spawn on top of their corpse. Along with a prefix in chat saying "Skrubblord"

well we all hope turrets will be adjusted,rocketeer was always one of my favourites,and i would love it to get a usefull ability of somekind,IN DEVS WE TRUST!!!

no one mech shouldn't have ability which just deal a damage.

Well, maybe instead of an additional damage source, it makes the hellfires create the persisting explosion, but deals only the damage of the hellfires. Tradeoff is lack of direct offensive damage. What about this idea?

I've said this before but it looks like it needs saying again.

 

No new fancy damage dealing ability.

 

If you want something to replace Rocketeer's turret mode, I suggest a multi-lock ability.  As in, "Press F to lock-on to up to 3 targets"

 

This way, you're expanding the surpression capability without increasing potential damage to any single target. Imagine targeting a deathball and watching them scatter.  :teehee:

That was my intent, yes. Full salvos for each target.

I am NOT in favor of removing the turret mode on any of the C-Class though.  What I think they do need is to all be given back turret mode (just put it on it's own button) AND give them all a unique special ability.


To be serious for a moment this is just a joke
