My condolences about Jay, it's always sad to lose anyone.
Good to hear about the updates tho, even if it isn't directly for us. While I think it's great that you folks have updated the code and such, I'm particularly interested in what's going on with some things:
- 30 mechs: what are they? I'm looking forward to them, but it sounds like it may be a hot mess to balance.
- Map issues: are you going to fix these before release? They've been a bane to a lot of our existences in the game for years. If console players encounter the obvious ones (invisible stuff blocking their way, or blocking projectiles, jump pad issues, etc.) it won't look good at all.
- Release: why not release across all three platforms at once, instead of doing the consoles first? If you've spent all this time structuring the back end stuff to be easily updated, I don't see why you wouldn't do this, especially since I don't see a clear release date. The fact that the PC version is going to be updated after the console ports feels like a kick in the nuts after being given the silent treatment for so long.
Again, great to hear about the updates, even though we kinda knew already.
^They need to release to consoles ASAP to start recovering some of their debt. An influx of cash is paramount to any further work. Developers don't work for free.
To be serious for a moment this is just a joke

Did I say Call Me Ishmael?
You should call me Luna.

i personally suppose (in teory), Reloaded just take Unused mechs (like X-man, Hon, Ord, Falum etc.), give them a already existed weapons and abilities and mixed up. And call these mechs as "G2". i.e. console hawken have g2-brawler, g2-tech, g2-incin etc. we already have 18 mech. 15 without current G2 version and CRT-recruit (which no need G2 version for obvious reason), so, adding in game all G2 variations will be ~30 in total.
just my opinion without any facts :P

I see that the unstoppable Hawken negativity train is still chugging along.
While this isn't the news we were expecting, any increased revenue to the game will eventually go toward the production of future updates (and potentially increase the quality of those updates). This is good news even though it is delaying what we all actually want.
EDIT: As Omega said.

I understand that. The "kick in the nuts" part is just how it feels, considering they chose to cater to new markets while they left us in the dark for a long time, especially after the whole "great silence" of the Adhesive/Meteor days. For me, it just seems to make more sense to make sure that all three are ready to go and maintain them simultaneously, instead of setting some up separately and then playing catch up with the other(s) while trying to maintain the other two at the same time.

Actually there is the date: June 8, 2016. This is the certification date (or approximate release date - which is often tolerated)

Tiggs & Josh:
Are you planning on allowing members from the existing community to playtest the changes (1) visible in the HOWKEN video and (2) the changes on the mech guide page prior to release in August?
Also, can you give us some insight into why you decided to make what appears to be such large swathes of changes when the "current' version of Hawken could have been released to consoles, and it would have been "new" to them?
apparently online multiplayer is free on playstation 4 for f2p games. on xbox you still have to pay for a subscription even for playing f2p games online. kinda sucks, i like the xbox controller better but looks like im buying a used ps4 instead
Leave the console scrubs alone, hestoned.
Considering how long many of us hung around after the (ahem) darkness. This is all I have to say...

Will we be able to continue there with PC acc and already owned mechs, or it'll be start from zero for every player at this platform?
Cheers, see you in game ?
Well, it makes sense to make Infiltrator EOC only, but I'm still gonna miss heatfiltrator. I just don't do as well as a heat scout.
I heard some mention in-game that vets would still be able to swap weapons, is that true?
As for the actual topic, I think it's great to see this game go somewhere. Finally all my console peasant friends will stop acting like Hawken isn't a real game, and I can convince them to play it so I can show them what it's like to play something besides COD. Noobs.
Seriously though, where's the mech information besides gossip about an A class with dual seekers, and the fact that you can't change primaries anymore? Is there any real official news?
Glad to hear that Reloaded has actually been working on HAWKEN and is finally breaking the silence that suggested a lack of interest in the product. It might actually make some former PC-players come back (myself included). Does the relaunch mean that the game will finally drop the "beta"-label?
The success of the console release will depend on the ratings that the press will give, and with the multitude of changes about to happen it might make more sense to release those to the experienced PC players first, collect their feedback on balancing and bug reports for a month or so, and then push out the console versions as a polished final product. The PC players have been beta-testers for long enough, why not involve them in the final QA process. Maybe for motivation give out cosmetic goodies to anybody that reports critical bugs. Seems less risky to me than doing it "cold turkey".
With that big step out of the way, hopefully the devs can focus on bugfixes and more platform-related additions like cheat prevention, reporting systems, voice integration, etc.. and finally new maps.

i compleatly agree, and most of us do. and that is kind of why we are a bit upset. we pc guys were here first and hung around for so long. we should be at least throne a bone
We Can Dance If We Want To
Ok so all i see are negative posts all about console hawken having this and having new that. It has northing new. You can't switch internals, weapons or anything. You can buy legs and arms pfft. There is no new customization or game modes. You get base mechs and you are stuck with all default weapons and internals. Pc players have had it for a long time. How bout cutting consoles some slack and let them have a turn. Acting like whiny 1st graders is not going to get your updates out any faster is it? Now, let the "pc master race " bs ensue.

I don't think players from the PC version of Hawken are criticizing the players using the Xbox & PS4. The criticism is about the changes that were made and how it may affect Hawken on the PC in the near future.
Many here don't like the fact that pretty much all customization has been stripped, where that's currently not the case with PC Hawken and many players here don't want to see those changes made to the PC.....
If anything, I want to see the consoles succeed so it might give Hawken a chance to survive and improve, not make it into a shallow version of this great game.
I truly hope you guys/gals over on the consoles are having a blast, but RLD needs to do this right for Hawken to continue as an outstanding Mech FPS.
I'm excited about the coming update on pc.
(and just want to nottice that I Would love a if there would be new urban&eco mix map with three areas: plants, 50/50 and buildig/street strucures. with a tp mode where the map gets smaller when there are only 2 or 3 players in deathmach. would be nice for a later update :) )
